  • mhm mm.

  • Mhm.

  • Hello everybody.

  • It's a beautiful day.

  • There is the sound of airplanes.

  • God, that's so loud.

  • Anyway, what a way to start the vlog.

  • Hello everyone.

  • I'm currently in Ibaraki and I'm about to head to the airport and then take a flight to Hokkaido.

  • I'm so excited.

  • I love Al Qaeda only ever been once before, so I'm really, really pumped to go and see it again.

  • I'm going with charlotte who's just over there.

  • She'll say hi in a little bit.

  • Um, and if you hear any music there is a child playing a piano just over there before we're heading to Hokkaido.

  • We've just come to stop at a place called Soriano Hockey or uh and it's just a place where you can chill out really close to the airport as you can hear from that plane earlier and there's restaurants and places for kids to play.

  • It's just a really relaxing area.

  • So if you just have a bit of time you need to kill before you catch a plane.

  • It's a pretty good place to do it.

  • We are catching a flight from Ibaraki to Hokkaido.

  • This actually didn't used to be a flight path.

  • I think they had to take a boat before.

  • But now yeah, we can, we can fly from Ibaraki to Hokkaido which is super exciting.

  • So we'll be going to new chitose airport and then we're going down to a place called Tomakomai.

  • We actually have spent a lot of time at Ibaraki.

  • So I already did a video about it.

  • If you want to check out that video, follow the card up here or is it up here?

  • I'm not sure.

  • I can't tell direction.

  • Super excited for Al Qaeda.

  • I think we're gonna be staying in a log cabin, getting back in touch with nature, gonna be having a barbecue.

  • I think it's just gonna be really serene and beautiful.

  • So I'm excited.

  • I forgot to bring a jacket because I'm an idiot.

  • And let's go have fun time in Kolkata.

  • Let's get, hey, so we're on the plane were just heading to Hokkaido.

  • We haven't left yet.

  • There's a nice little sunset happening outside.

  • Good to go.

  • Yeah, mm hmm.

  • Yeah, Yeah, Yeah.

  • Okay.

  • Hey guys, we just got to our hotel that we're staying in for the night anyway.

  • We're staying in a lot of cabin.

  • It's gonna be awesome.

  • But yeah, I'll give you two tomorrow.

  • So I just wanted to say goodnight and I'll see you in the morning by, okay, Hey, good morning guys.

  • It is the next day in Al Qaeda and I had a very lovely night in this wooden cabin before we get started with the day.

  • I just wanted to give you a tour of the place that we stayed last night.

  • We're staying at hotel night.

  • Um, or Needham and I d o m so this place actually has a shared kitchen would be sharing it with one other room that's right here.

  • So they have a fridge and freezer here and just like any wonderful hotel, They've stacked it full of beer and sake if you want it.

  • But I think it's an extra cost.

  • They have the prices up here and we have the solar kitchen at very cute, nice hot water.

  • They also have some coffee and tea so it's good if you're feeling up for it.

  • Also they have just a grill over there and also outside they have a barbecue.

  • So very nice.

  • I'm just going through here and here's our little humble abode.

  • It's so cute in here.

  • So we got to wake up with a view of the forest and it was super nice and we each had our own little bed to sleep in and then in here we have the bathroom.

  • It's super nice in here, good bathroom.

  • It's got a big bathtub, nice shower, lots of amenities of the day.

  • All the good stuff that you need.

  • So the lamps are so cute.

  • Actually, Finest thing about the lamps is the one next to our bed.

  • We control half of the lamp each.

  • Usually in hotels you get like one lamp each and you can adjust it.

  • But this one you get half a lamp.

  • Okay?

  • I think I'm gonna go get charlotte, we'll call a car to come and pick us up and take us to the main hall and then we'll get started with that day.

  • Oh hi guys, I just came to breakfast and it's the most lavish and luxurious breakfast I've ever had.

  • Why does even the carrot look fancy.

  • But we have a al Qaeda melon and some warm bread and a salad and dressing and vegetable juice and milk and yogurt and cereal and butter and jam and and so much stuff.

  • So uhh yeah, here we were.

  • I think you were staying in a log cabin, going to be yellow camping camping up.

  • But no, we're in luxury.

  • I gotta try that.

  • Al Qaeda melon, mm hours, wow, it was just like juice and then it was gone.

  • It's really soft and melts in your mouth.

  • That's pretty amazing.

  • I don't even know where to begin to.

  • Okay, usually I really don't like veggie juice.

  • This is actually definitely drinkable, more than drinkable.

  • It's enjoyable.

  • I can't get this tiny cute little omelet and some sausages and bacon and also a cup of tea.

  • Anyway, we're gonna eat this uh this meal and I will see you guys afterwards for the first activity of the day, which is something I don't know what it is.

  • Yeah.

  • Mhm.

  • Mhm.

  • Okay guys, we just got in the car and came all the way over here to lake you tonight and there's a shop here called me, you know where we're going to get some ingredients so we can have a good barbecue together.

  • Yeah, so behind me is like Madonna which is so beautiful and it turns out it's only a meter deep at the deepest point.

  • So I guess if you really wanted.

  • Not sure how legal it is, but you could probably walk across the other side.

  • This place is actually really well known for swans and white swans.

  • But unfortunately there were some here earlier this morning, but they flew away.

  • Oh, uh huh.

  • So in meeting right now and I thought it would just be like vegetables and produce.

  • But there's actually a lot to buy here.

  • It's kind of like a Al Qaeda Tourism store, Tomakomai Tourism store.

  • There's so many random wooden things here.

  • This whole wooden motorcycle going to get on it.

  • I feel like I hear people get on, it's super creepy.

  • Wait, it needs a little oil and wait, why does it have a power switch?

  • What does it do?

  • What is it Russia?

  • So we're getting some vegetables.

  • Got a big bag of mushrooms here, giant eggplant and I say, oh it's a long one, it's a long boy.

  • So all the vegetables here are locally groom and that baby is sad.

  • Look at this little carrots.

  • Oh, that's so cute.

  • Oh, can we have a little carrot on the barbecue?

  • Look at these garlic like garlic saying like why would you want garlic doesn't smell?

  • All right, by the way, Introduction time.

  • This is Brennan.

  • He's from New Zealand.

  • He's going to be a tour guide for today.

  • Yeah.

  • Get a team from New Zealand can't eat some big big plans.

  • Big plans.

  • Big feet at the barbecue today.

  • It's very nice.

  • There's a lot of stuff that we're gonna get, we're gonna take this to the barbecue and get started.

  • Yeah, by the way, this is the mascot of the area.

  • So we're in Tomakomai and this is too much chocolate and he wears a little swollen outfit because swans are so popular here.

  • Okay, so I'm gonna try to explain this.

  • But uh but his name is super complicated because it's each broken down into the meaning behind it.

  • So Tomakomai is the place, so he's mama Coco is a swan, White swan.

  • So that's the show, Hannah show is a flower that's on his tail and then hookey, I forgot to say that clam.

  • It's on his head.

  • The clam is on his head then husk up.

  • Oh no, I don't know what husk up is.

  • Oh it's the thing on his on his chest.

  • It's a thing on his chest.

  • There we go.

  • Alright, Time to try the husk of these guys have already tried it and it smells like grapes.

  • It does definitely smells like groups, slightly different taste.

  • I think it does taste a little more like a blueberry like blueberry.

  • Great!

  • A blip a group.

  • Very alright.

  • So we made it to the barbecue place, we just have to start cooking and just cutting up some vegetables and everything.

  • And also at this place you can order meat as well and we've ordered um Genghis khan which is uh Genghis khan which is mutton.

  • Does anyone know the story behind being called genghis khan.

  • Yeah, true.

  • I can't imagine her meeting with kate.

  • My first thing in mushroom looks really good.

  • Got some salt and pepper on it.

  • Smells good too.

  • Mm.

  • Mm.

  • Mm.

  • Did you have a barbecue much in Canada?

  • Yeah.

  • In our backyard all the time.

  • My family, my mom and dad are vegetarian.

  • So we do like tofu dogs.

  • We didn't grill any veggies though.

  • It was, I've never girlfriends or like, uh, hamburgers.

  • Uh, okay.

  • Mm hmm.

  • Is that we do just sausages.

  • You can always buy bulk cheap sausages in Australian.

  • Just like do them put them in white bread, onions, tomato sauce like All right.

  • I have a big old piece of garlic and the garlic apparently.

  • Yeah.

  • It doesn't smell like garlic, which is so bizarre.

  • Mm Oh, it's really good.

  • Yeah.

  • Yeah.

  • I wrote it was gonna be really intense, but it's like just a good texture in like a little garlic.

  • I'm gonna eat some jingles.

  • Con dipping it in santa about my mutton.

  • Let's give it a try.

  • It's definitely a tougher meat, but it's got a lot of good flavor to it, especially with the sauce is great.

  • Okay.

  • Okay.

  • I got myself some husk up ice cream.

  • It's got husk up sauce on it.

  • It's just a vanilla ice cream, but the sauce should be really good.

  • It tastes anything like the, the water that we had earlier.

  • Mm Well, it's a lot more sour is it?

  • Yeah it's way more time.

  • Mm It's really good.

  • I like it.

  • In contrast to the ice cream I found out the husky is a fly.

  • It's got a lot of a lot of different names fly honeysuckle uh blue honeysuckle, sweet berry honeysuckle.

  • It's native to Canada japan Poland and Russia from in Canada.

  • Never heard of them.

  • Are you really Canadian?

  • Where you really on rot?

  • Maybe you're by anyway we ate a lot.

  • I'm very full a little tired but I think we're going on a high I think we're gonna be going into some water or some muddy areas to get to the gorge that go one over so we're gonna put some Wellies on.

  • Oh yeah can you do that again?

  • Nice.

  • Yeah gummies.

  • I'm also very cautious and scared person.

  • Just naturally.

  • Oh God I think the reason that we're actually walking up the river is because there's a better spot to see the view of the gorge.

  • Mhm.

  • Really?

  • It's so bizarre just standing here letting the water run over my feet But also the walls are made out of a volcanic rock I believe and gradually that's why they're crumbling so easily.

  • They're getting washed away by the river.

  • So yeah I see all of this volcanic rock has slowly been ripped away by the water.

  • Okay we're going to head back.

  • I wish I lived here.

  • Something like that.

  • You could just go and see it all the time and now we're gonna go and climb a mountain, climb a mountain.

  • Apparently we can drive pretty high up though.

  • We're climbing a mountain climbing a mountain real fast because I have a plane to cat.

  • We're at mount to my cousin climbing to the top, luckily for us.

  • We didn't get to drive most of the way so it hasn't actually been a full on climb.

  • I think we only have to climb for about 10 minutes until we get to the top.

  • Then I'll see the view kind of those bells is to frightened of bears.

  • Look at this view.

  • That's so crazy.

  • What's the name of this lady?

  • She got, She got, she got such a beautiful lake.

  • Amazing.

  • Okay, so now the word, the top of the mountain with a super beautiful view.

  • It's time to say goodbye.

  • I gotta go get my flight back to Tokyo and we don't have that much time to make it.

  • So I gotta make this quick.

  • But thank you so much for coming on my journey with me and thank you.

  • Too shallow for being in the journey.

  • Always have with my hand and my thanks.

  • I'm sorry judy.
