  • this weekend, we're staying in Mesa Arizona.

  • So we wanted to find out what the pet friendly things to do, we're in the area.

  • So Mesa there were some options but we wanted to expand a little bit more and go to other places.

  • So Scottsdale was the nearby city and we found some cool pet friendly things to do there as well and um I've always heard great things about Scottsdale, I just had never had a chance to go.

  • So when we found that when we booked our Airbnb, we didn't know exactly where we were going to be.

  • Um phoenix Arizona phoenix Scottsdale Mesa ended up being messa, which actually ended up being perfect because it was like center of the activities he wanted to do with the pets.

  • So um anyway, so here is our list of things to do with your dogs.

  • So as part of our search of dog friendly things to do in the Mesa Scottsdale area, we came upon dutch bros coffee, so we've never heard of dutch bros coffee before, But apparently it's all over or they have like over 300 locations in the western US and they're headquartered in Oregon.

  • They are pet friendly because they give cappuccinos and and our dogs love cappuccinos.

  • So this coffee shop is only drive through and that's what they're known for, Their known for, drive through coffee and also outstanding customer service, wow, there's a lot of people here, walk up entrance only.

  • Oh okay, so there's a walk up.

  • Alright then go that way.

  • Okay, I'm just gonna walk up to it instead of driving through.

  • So cute like center.

  • She's a springer spaniel, wow there it is.

  • Hold on.

  • Okay.

  • Yes.

  • Okay come over here, wow.

  • What is this in the next girl?

  • Sugar high?

  • I got our coffee, I just got a regular black coffee and candy got got a half decaf latte and it's delicious.

  • It's really good.

  • And just as they said online, they are very friendly there and we got awesome cappuccinos for the dogs.

  • They loved it so much.

  • They got into a little tip.

  • Yeah what I like about their cappuccinos because I mean if you're a dog owner and you've been a Starbucks, you know it's just whipped cream but they put a dog biscuit on top of there, it's like a little bit extra.

  • That's a nice touch.

  • So they're better than Starbucks.

  • Good girl.

  • Okay.

  • So nice.

  • It's nice coming up, you can go down so she looks scared.

  • So that's the hole in the rock over there and this is the view.

  • So we are at Papago park this morning and we wanted to see the sunrise at the hole in the rock.

  • So it's a pretty popular place around the phoenix area.

  • It's actually and Tempe and it's a very nice park.

  • It's very large actually.

  • They have trails, they have a zoo.

  • So we took the dogs here because it's a dog friendly area.

  • The hike is easy and it's really, I don't really want to consider the hike.

  • It's, I don't know if you just go up the hill.

  • Yeah, I just got this little hill, they have like little makeshift stairs towards the end and also when you get into the hole where you can go down, there's like these little stairs, it's still dangerous.

  • But I was actually a little bit scared having Zoe with me because she's really strong.

  • There has been to be pigeons right on the edge and she wanted to get them and I was pretty scared.

  • I felt like I was being a little unsafe bringing her up here because that was not ideal that those pigeons were there.

  • So definitely watch, watch your step and keep an eye on your dog or get a hold of your dog if you have a strong dog especially.

  • Mhm.

  • So it looks like there's trails down there.

  • I know they have several trials around here, but this area in particular is very nice.

  • Yeah, I really like this area.

  • It's peaceful.

  • It's got a really great aerial view of the town and the city.

  • So now we are heading to the merchant tile of Scottsdale and uh it's about 20 minutes from Mesa and it's another pet friendly location.

  • So we wanted to take the dogs here with us and it looks like a really cool store.

  • So they have about 40 to 50 local makers within this one store, it looks pretty huge.

  • So, and they have a lot of cool vocal items, like paintings, home, home goods, jewelry, black stuff.

  • I found them on instagram.

  • I saw that they were being tagged a lot.

  • And what really drew me to them was one, they were pet friendly and two that they were, they were all small businesses in this one building and I'm all about shopping small.

  • Okay, here we go.

  • So this is adorable.

  • We just walked into the first stall of merchandise and we already saw things we like already like these carrots.

  • I'm gonna get.

  • It's only $12.

  • That's a good price for these.

  • And these cute necklaces just caught my eye first.

  • I really like this cactus necklace.

  • It's the Saguaro cactus we keep on talking about in Arizona.

  • Like we just adore them.

  • Really cute store already.

  • And this is just like 11 place installment.

  • Mm hmm.

  • So much cool thing to look at in the store.

  • Well then it's all local too.

  • I like this chest with the mountain.

  • That's beautiful.

  • I really wanted this pet bag to work for kuma.

  • But I don't know, a little too complicated.

  • I'm not sure if that exactly fits her.

  • So that's so cute.

  • Oh, that's totally me.

  • These dogs are like, I'm over it.

  • So now we're at the Saguaro hotel, another place in Scottsdale.

  • That is pet friendly.

  • Actually it's a pet friendly hotel and they have a really cool wall art here.

  • It's nice and colorful.

  • Everything here is very colorful like scream summer this area.

  • So it's a fun spot to take pictures with your dog.

  • Yeah.

  • All right.

  • That's a good spot.

  • As we were taking a picture of that beautiful wall at the Sahara Hotel.

  • We're getting hungry.

  • So we're trying to look for somewhere to eat with the dogs.

  • And we asked the receptionist upfront and she's like, well, I don't really know any areas except for our hotel.

  • They're like, oh, that works.

  • So yeah, they have really great outdoor area here, Very friendly service.

  • They even got water bowls here.

  • I guess.

  • We didn't even ask for it.

  • And they suggested it and I thought that was very, very nice.

  • I always like it when they catered to the doctor.

  • I got the pork tacos.

  • So pretty.

  • I love how they decorated it.

  • Okay.

  • Very, very pretty.

  • And then I got the fried chicken sandwich.

  • Of course.

  • I was gonna get the grilled cheese sandwich.

  • And uh the, I don't know what he is, the manager here maybe.

  • I'm not sure.

  • But a worker here told me that that's one of their signature dishes are popular dishes is the grilled cheese.

  • But then I saw the fried chicken sandwich and I'm like, I'm gonna have that instead need more protein.

  • So I tasted a little bit of the chicken already.

  • And it's really great good shoes.

  • So now we're in downtown Mesa and here we can walk around with their dogs around downtown.

  • And they have an art walk guy that you can download from their website.

  • I think it's the Mesa um town website that you can go to.

  • But from there you can download a guide and they give you um this walking guide to all the middle sculptures around here from the believe they're like local artists.

  • We just saw a few of them while we're driving through downtown.

  • One of the popular ones is the humpty dumpty which we saw some people taking pictures with and dinosaur dinosaur and some other ones.

  • I can't remember what they were.

  • But they also have some great wall art here too.

  • So we're gonna go explore and see what we can find.

  • So we parked in this public free downtown parking lot.

  • And right in front of it is it's pretty cool wall mural with like musical notes.

  • Mhm.

  • We're in downtown Mesa statues here.

  • Does this sculpture make the number?

  • Oh are you afraid of the sculpture?

  • You don't like the sculpture?

  • So here is the downtown Mesa mural.

  • Very colorful.

  • And uh it looks like they have street parking available for customers to.

  • Yeah, it's sunday and it's very quiet down here.

  • I'm wondering if it's always the quiet here.

  • I don't know.

  • I mean it is covid times.

  • Mhm.

  • Out of all the sculptures in downtown may so this is the most popular one.

  • It's the humpty dumpty statue one and Koumas just resting Beautiful.

  • So beautiful.

  • And those people in the car laughing and they're waiting.

  • You are a celebrity in this town.

  • Mhm.

  • Another coffee shop that we wanted to try out in Mesa is the fixed drive through coffee.

  • And since its drive through and walk up window we could take our dogs with us.

  • And they also give a little treat for the dogs.

  • It's a local favorite.

  • The locals rave about this coffee, they use premium, high quality coffee that's handcrafted and they use high quality equipment.

  • They have two locations in Arizona, one in Mesa and then one in Tammany, the temple one open first And this makes someone is apparently the newer one.

  • The fix cute little seating area.

  • Oh very very cute, wow!

  • Oh my goodness.

  • Mhm.

  • It's not.

  • There's a nice cozy area here.

  • No, I love the boho style.

  • So we actually spent a lot of time here at the fix.

  • We just really like the decoration here.

  • So we took the pictures, great seating areas.

  • So we weren't expecting that.

  • So that's why we ended up spending more time here than we thought.

  • And the coffee is really good.

  • So I highly recommend it.

  • It's pretty good.

  • Yeah, I like my green tea.

  • I was going to stay away from coffee today.

  • Yeah, it's perfect.

  • So yeah, definitely.

  • Come to the fix.

  • Mm hmm.

  • Okay baby.

  • Just getting there.

  • No, no, it's huge.

  • Okay, we're at quelle run dog park right now and it's a huge dog park, it's located in Mesa and it's one of the top dog parks here and I can see why it's, it's really really well maintained and it's got, they have grass.

  • I mean it's a little bit like dried out right now because it's winter, but most dog parks I go to, especially in L.

  • A.

  • It's with chips.

  • There's never any grass.

  • This is amazing, plenty of benches, plenty of parking.

  • The trees, there's trees throughout the area.

  • It's very um they're playing around and it's only a five minute drive from the Airbnb we're staying at, which is perfect if we wanted to let them run around a little bit more, although our Airbnb has a yard, a fenced yard, it's pretty small.

  • So to get those two going like they are right now we need like a big park.

  • So that was our list of things to do with your dogs in Mesa and Scottsdale.

  • We really enjoyed this area.

  • It's so clean.

  • Everything is well put together.

  • I feel like they do a great job of upkeep in this phoenix Scottsdale.

  • Mesa Tempe Arizona.

  • Yeah.

  • And we were always kind of surprised that some like when we looked up things to do with our pets and this and like for example um the merchant tile and also some of the parks where they're like super dog friendly.

  • We even had a double check to make sure like, are you sure dogs are okay And then they're like, yeah, well we love pets come on by so, very pet friendly areas.

  • We always appreciate pet friendly cities and towns.
