Yeah it's really gorgeous.

I'm pretty pleased with the view.

We're on the 12th floor and it is pet friendly and you know what?

There's no peppy here which is pretty amazing.

That's incredible because of all the hotels I've stayed at in the last however many years.

Five years there's always been a pet fee.

So obviously we brought our fur babies with us kuma and Zoe and we're gonna give you a tour of our room.

I'm recording that.

Right The pops say that this is a nice comfy bed so far so we'll see if it is comfortable later.

It does feel very comfy.

Um Like a nice firmness to it.

It's not too hard, not too soft.

It's just right.

So yeah you guys are right.

Um So the view first I think when you walk into this room you immediately notice the view which is pretty nice.

You have a view of the skyscrapers and Long beach.

Forgot what road that is.

I think it's Oceanside.

Okay.

Ocean view or ocean side ocean road.

I don't know.

Anyway um Yeah so it's a nice view of the downtown area of Long Beach and then in the distance you can see the water and yeah and they have large windows, three panel windows which is great.

They have a nice sitting area here.

I like this yellow chair actually.

I do like big accent chairs like this.

And then you have a little table to the side here is the workstation and I got a large mirror here so that we could check ourselves out or pick our teeth which I was doing earlier.

There is a outlet here with two USB plugs and then there's an ice bucket.

This is like one of the tiniest ice buckets.

I've seen more outlets here working desk chair and these are two double beds and then in the middle we have a night lamp, we have the phone, we have an alarm clock was two plugs and two USB plugs in there as well which is great.

And then we have a large tv, we have some dresser drawers here too.

44 large ones.

And so I know every hotel has a holy bible you know you always open the door like oh there's the holy bible but this is something new.

I've never seen a hotel at the book of mormon.

I'm actually kind of curious about this.

So my hair is a fridge and that the freezer part.

Yeah, I'm assuming it is.

Yeah because there is ice.

So yeah, so the top part is the freezer and then the bottom floor is the regular fridge, we have another large mirror here.

So it's always nice to see your full body, your outfit what it looks like.

Candy especially likes it.

So she's loving it.

I'm going to show you the rest and that means the bathroom in the closet, there's not really much left.

But so the closets that iron ironing board a safe.

Oh and also the suitcase rack, there's I hangers and that's our stuff.

But yeah, you know the essentials?

The bathroom is actually pretty spacious and I really like the way they designed the layout because they put counter space all along the wall, which is great because when it's crystal and I together we, you know, we both have our own toiletries and makeup bags and we like to kind of spread out our stuff.

So that's really nice that there's gonna be plenty of room for both of us.

The light is actually, it's one of those like nice ring type lights.

So when you're looking in the mirror, like, oh wow, you look really good today.

I'm not used to hotels having like really nice lighting.

So that's really cool because I hate doing makeup when it's super dark, you put way too much on, then you go outside and it's just like you look like you're, you know, you look like a clown who doesn't want to make up because you couldn't see very well.

So I love the lighting.

I really love the lighting and who was trying to get up to the yellow chair.

Is that what you're trying to, trying to do.

Alright, so come, I just decided to jump on this awesome yellow chair and it just looks so photogenic.

I had to stop and take several pictures.

You know the good spots.

Huh?

I love these mirrors when I'm doing makeup, I have really bad eyes and candies.

Favorite when I do my lashes and stuff.

This is amazing.

I love using this mirror and to apply makeup.

This is, this is great.

So I already put my bag here claiming my spot.

They give you really basic um supplies, they give plenty of towels.

Um the cops, I never use the cups, but it's their towels here and there's also towels hanging up in the shower, so plenty plenty of towels, which is great.

Here are the extra towels.

So yeah, two for each of us just because we're just here for the weekend.

The only thing, I don't know why I know a lot of people love this, the rainfall shower.

I hate it.

I don't know the reason why I hate it because I don't wash my hair every day and it's so hard to dodge the water from my hair.

So I'm really glad that the shower does come with the handheld because I'll definitely be using that, especially for Zoey because she got dirty at the beach and she likes to sleep with me in bed and I don't want her dirtiest handy feet all over the bed.

So I'll be utilizing that for sure.

Anyways that is the bathroom.

So can you and I, we just went to the bar to get some drinks and order some food and bring it up to our room.

So we came up to our rooms with a drink first and I got a margarita and I took off the line when I got to my room to put the squeeze of lime in my drink.

And I noticed right where the line was sitting, there was a huge crack in the glass.

So we went back downstairs and like, yeah, we just tell them, I'm sure they'll be sorry and get a new drink.

I went down and I told the bartender, hey, and I showed him like, I took off the line so I didn't notice it earlier when I got the drink, but there's a huge crack in the glass and he just stared at me blank face like, do you need a new cup?

Obviously I was a little bit shocked by that question and I'm thinking like, you realize this dangerous, right?

Like what if the glass was in the drink?

And I drank it?

So I was like, well not only do I want a new glass, can I get a whole new drink?

Yeah.

And he's just like, okay.

And I'm like, what?

Like, like no apology, nothing.

It was almost like we were asking a ridiculous question or I don't even understand the thought process of oh so do you want me to just pour the previous drink into a new cup?

No that's not how it works.

Do you realize glasses dangerous?

If you swallow it with that being said that was just one bartender, another guy was great, the other guy, the original guy that we're dealing with, he was excellent.

And so when can so when Kandi got the new drink, it was awful.

It didn't even taste, it was disgusting, I love margaritas.

So I'm kind of kind of say that I'm a margarita expert or a connoisseur.

So she asked me to taste it and it was awful, it was so gross.

So we got the original guy that we were dealing with and told him the situation and he had the right reaction, the normal reaction and said oh my gosh I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry.

There was a chip in the glass.

He said that shouldn't happen.

Anyway our food's gonna get cold by the way.

We ordered a turkey club and a burger and they do look really good at this huge portions.

Very easily shared a meal.

Anyway, we just wanted to give you our experience because we were just pretty shocked about it.

Alright so we're heading back to our home now.

We had a pretty good stay at Western Long beach.

We do have some mixed reviews.

So starting off check in was great.

Um We actually arrived super early around 10 a.m. And we knew that it was really early actually probably like 9 30.

9 30 right?

But he said you know what, they're clean the rooms right now so you should have a room within the hour or so.

Which was perfect because we were going to go by the beach anyway and an hour later he called Candy and our room was ready.

So that was at 11 a.m. Yeah, we were just down a couple miles away at the beach.

So yeah, well we're at the beach.

He called and said it was ready before noon.

Being able to check in was really great.

It was great.

That was a big, big perk.

Our room was great.

We really loved the room.

The beds were super comfortable.

I like that bed better than mine.

Yeah, I might even like it better than lying in my bed is comfortable.

So yeah, they're pillows were great as well.

But another thing about the room, here's where the mixed reviews coming to the shower.

Okay, first of all, first off the bathroom was great, the layout was really well made.

Yeah and we love the lighting, the lighting was just something we always loved going into the bathroom for because we're like it looks so great.

It's like if you're a girl you would appreciate the lighting in there.

The towels were awesome.

They're nice and flush.

The toilet trees were very basic, very basic.

They only provided shampoo, conditioner and the shuttle for two people, one bottle for two people.

And that was it.

But I did like the toiletries that they did provide because I like the scent of it.

It was like, yeah, it was really good quality stuff.

So I took something, the shower though didn't like the shower at all.

The shower was a bit of a pain in the butt because well for two reasons, one, we don't like the rainfall shower because we don't like getting our hair wet.

You don't wash your hair every day.

So it's hard to avoid the shower when it's coming directly down.

But you know, they have a handheld shower which usually that is the case when there are rainfall showers and hotels and usually it's not an issue because you can adjust the height and the direction of the handheld shower.

But this one you can adjust it like one way, but it was very limited.

It was hard to use.

So I did not enjoy it at all.

But you know what sucked the water doesn't drain properly.

Yeah, that was a problem.

That was a problem and that's another thing I kind of like a pet peeve of mine.

I do not like hotels that don't have proper drainage.

I hate it.

I don't like stepping in the water that I feel dirty.

I don't like that feeling.

The body temperature was great, but it just, it didn't really work out for us as far as taking a shower for ourselves and the draining problem.

They're very pet friendly.

They're all very welcoming.

All the staff were very nice to our pets and even provided a dog bowl of water for them and some treats.

So that was great.

Breakfast.

We have breakfast there as well and I was disappointed with the breakfast.

We were originally going to have breakfast there but it was already concerned and rain a little bit and we didn't, we didn't have an umbrella plus we have the dogs with us.

So we're like, let's just sit here and still like a little bit disappointed with it because we paid $20 for an omelet, hash hash browns and a piece of bread and ended up with tip ended up being $26.

So yeah, 24 to $26 for a sucky breakfast.

Yeah, you're going to be pretty disappointed.

Yes.

The egg was dry.

They didn't even use fresh mushrooms.

It was God the mushrooms were so gross.

Yeah, the eggs were very great, overcooked.

My toast was okay.

The jam was like, you know, some pretty cheap jam, which I'm just like, that wasn't that great either.

So everything was and I asked for no cheese in my omelet and they put cheese and do not have breakfast there.

That's my advice and service is great.

Yeah, yeah, nothing about the service.

The service was awesome, but the food was awful and I'm still a little bit ticked off that I paid 26 me two.

Oh God, we're gonna have so much better breakfast elsewhere.

But since it was raining, we decided to, you know, stay in the hotel for convenience.

But now I'm just like, damn, I shouldn't have had breakfast there because so around the hotel, there are places you can walk to and we went to a coffee shop, there's also other restaurants and fresh sheets and across the street was a little dog park.

You couldn't take your dog to the civic Center is where the civic centers and they have like a really cool water fountain there too.
