♪ What are we gonna make today ♪
- A piggy watering can!
- [Abby And Tamir] Hurray!
- Hi ya!
Today, Abby.
- Hi! - Tamir.
- Hi!
- And me, Cookie Monster, are reusing empty milk jugs
to make this cute little piggy watering can.
- [Abby And Tamir] Oink oink!
(both snort)
- You can use your watering can to water your flowers
and plants at home!
- Yeah.
Come on!
Let's make one together.
- Yeah.
Here's everything that you need
to make a piggy watering can.
Oink oink.
Milk jug with cap.
Scissors, glue, paint,
cookies, paint brushes, cereal box,
cookies, markers, pipe cleaners, cookies,
googly eyes, plastic thimbles,
and did me mention the cookies?
Step one.
Make sure that the milk jug is empty and washed out.
Then, poke holes into the cap.
Make sure that you have an adult help you poke the holes.
And tada!
We got a watering can, huh!
Yeah.
- But if we made the watering can
then, what are all these things for?
- [Cookie] Oh, well we going to use all this crafty stuff
to turn watering can into piggy watering can.
- [Abby And Tamir] Oink oink!
(both snort)
- Step two.
It's time to paint.
Dip, dip, dip.
Painty, painty, paint.
(Abby hums)
There we go.
Me piggy watering can is all painted pink.
Yeah.
How did yours go Tamir?
- My piggy is painted.
- Yeah.
It looks like you got painted too.
- Really? Where?
- There and there and there.
(Abby laughs)
- Oh.
And my little piggy has polka dot spots!
- Oh, those adorable!
Hey, that give me idea!
Okay, there we go.
Piggies got cookie spots!
Yeah.
Piggy loves cookies just like me.
- What's next?
- Okay, well that's step three.
Yeah.
We're going to give our piggies some feet,
so they can stand on their own.
So we're going to use these little thimbles here
that me painted pink.
And you can use cork or bottle caps
or other items that you have around the house.
Yeah.
Make sure to ask a grownup to help you glue them
to the bottom of the piggy.
Step four.
Give piggy some ears.
Yeah, me cut these triangle shaped ears
out of an old cookie box.
- I have orange ears.
- And I have blue ones.
- Okay.
Now that we have our ears, let's glue them to our piggies.
- Already done, Cookie Monster.
My ears are glued on.
Oh.
- Remember, you don't need to use too much glue.
- Whoops.
- Wow!
You can really see the pig now.
- Yes, but can the pig see you?
What does the pig need?
- Eyes! - Eyes!
- Step five.
Give you piggies eyes.
Yeah, just like these eyes me have right here.
Yeah.
Googly googly.
- Look at my little piggy looking all around.
(Abby snorts)
- My piggy sees you.
- Me piggy sees you!
Oinky oinky oinky.
Okay.
Well me hope you brought cookies.
- Wait, why do we need cookies to make a pig watering can?
- Snack break!
Step six, eat cookies!
- [All] Cookies!
- Om nom nom.
Oh nommy!
- Nom nom nom.
- Nom nom nom, nom nom nom.
- Nom nom nom nom!
Break over.
Okay.
We almost at the end of our craft.
And what do you find at the end of a piggy?
- Oh!
- [Abby And Tamir] ] A tail.
- That's right.
Step seven.
We going to use pipe cleaners to make curly piggy tails.
Okay. Now we twist the pipe cleaner around the marker
like this to make it nice and curly.
- Turning good.
Oh, my tail!
- Okay.
Wow!
Piggy tail.
- Then, we tape it down to the back of the piggy.
- Wow, we did it.
We made pig watering cans!
- Yeah.
Me love how different they all look.
Oink oink.
- Oink oink! - Oink oink!
- Woo!
Delicious water.
Thank you very much.
And what a cute watering can you have.
- Thank you and you're welcome, Ms. Fern!
Glad we could help.
- Thanks for making piggy watering can with us.
Me so happy we could reuse a bottle and make something new.
- [Abby And Tamir] See you next time!
