But that important resource is under threat from the overwhelming amounts of plastic. Each year, just about 30,000 metric tons of plastic pollution enter the country's waters. This, combined with the plastic from the rest of the world, washes up on the beaches, gets hooked by local fishermen and damages marine ecosystems. This upcoming film follows Wayan, a 90 year old Balinese fisherman using all of his resources and knowledge to tackle the growing problem one net of trash at a time.
