  • Karate is practiced in places called dojos.

  • The sensei is a special teacher who shows students

  • how to do karate.

  • Students are taught to bow and show respect for others.

  • They learn how to focus and control their bodies.

  • Karate also builds strength and flexibility.

  • As students get better and better at karate,

  • they're given different color belts.

  • There are so many different kinds of sports to play,

  • gymnastics,

  • soccer, or TaeKwonDo.

  • People who play sports are called athletes.

  • They wear special clothes and uniforms

  • and use special gear and equipment.

  • This hockey player has a helmet, uniform jersey, pads,

  • ice skates, and a hockey stick.

  • Sports are great exercise and a lot of fun

  • for everyone to play too.

  • (whistle blows)

  • it sounds like the Chargers just scored a goal.
