This magical place we escaped to is called Karuizawa and it's known for its beautiful nature, luxury hotels and cafes and its plethora of delicious handmade jams.

We stayed the night at the Prince Hotel, which had the most filling breakfast and had a nourishing hot spring that literally washed away all the stress from the past few weeks.

We had a romantic, relaxing vacation trying all the food, exploring the quiet neighborhoods and having the time of our lives.

Walking down the old Ginza shopping street, Karuizawa is filled with rivers, ponds and waterfalls so we made it a point to take photos and make memories wherever possible.

Most people come during the summer because it's much cooler here.

I definitely needed a jacket.
