  • Hello everybody Welcome to Tokyo Creative Play.

  • I'm your host, Emma and today I'm here with Jordan and a key.

  • We all know Jordan's but this is a key, this is your 1st 1st video with us.

  • Yeah, but we're here to give you guys a sweet fresh video of us going around and checking out instagram able spots in Tokyo.

  • Now a key is going to be our photographer is a photographer, videographer, cinematographer, Youtuber Extraordinaire.

  • So hopefully you take some good picks right?

  • Hopefully.

  • Or else where's the confidence?

  • Hopefully, yeah, yeah, we're going to go to different spots in Tokyo and see if we can find some really good instagram and I dressed up a little bit, just a little bit.

  • I wore a jumper.

  • Yeah, it's nice.

  • It's a nice one.

  • Yeah, we're going to see if we can get some good picks to spice up our instagrams and get the vibe.

  • That's the video.

  • We're looking for the vibe.

  • But our first spot is a, is a shrine here is actually the middle of Tokyo and has a nice mixture of old and new with the temple grounds and the cityscape right above it.

  • We want to come to hear shrine a popular time is actually middle of june.

  • There's a popular festival there called the san, it's pretty fun.

  • Come give it a go.

  • Yeah, well the reason I like here shrine is Kyoto is very far away.

  • I don't like to travel very far because I'm a tired lady and if I want the cool photos of fushimi Unity.

  • You know I can fake it because we've got them right here in Tokyo, baby Tokyo's got it all so yeah, we're gonna get some photos with the beautiful red gates with the stairs coming up and not have to go through it all the way to Kyoto for it.

  • So we don't need it.

  • I can get much at the convenience.

  • I oh, she figured it out.

  • She cracked it.

  • But yeah, should we get started and take some nice insta pics?

  • Let's do it.

  • Mm hmm mm hmm.

  • You found the 20 gates?

  • I'm gonna go down alright, go, go, go there's, there's, there's people going up so Jordan go down, go down, go down, go down your thing, go a bit more down.

  • Yeah, go lower.

  • Alright, good, good, good.

  • Now come back up.

  • Yeah, it's kind of like you're wandering around.

  • Nice, nice, nice.

  • He's so pretty!

  • Oh my God, is he walking?

  • He's walking, wow, look at that banger shot right there.

  • Nice wonder jordans, jordans with banging, banging, banging, banging bangers.

  • I think I started like five years ago when I was in London actually, I guess instagram, I was going through instagram and uh like I didn't have any hobbies that I really liked and at the time, you know, things are popping up like travel videos and all that and I really got into it and that's where, you know, I picked up a camera and you know, my journey started from there, I do a lot more videos in general, but the floors are awesome too, man, especially here in Tokyo try to face maybe uh this way.

  • Yeah, cool, alright, Yeah, I like the most and we got it, we got the shot, yeah, totally matches my in survive.

  • So for the shot here in um number one recommendation would be from the top down view.

  • Typically I would shoot on a 35 mil from here, it gets that, you know, it gets that are really wide angle view um from of Jordan's walking up and uh normally for the most part I think people would just shoot right in the center, but I like to shoot from the side a little bit so that you can get that dynamic field of the Torii gates growing up from the ground and um and especially if you look at the lighting here, the sun is shining from the right side to the left side, it gives a little bit more like a natural lighting and yeah, that's the shot I went for with warden for Emma's shot actually, we shot it somewhere around here.

  • The shot here was perfect because the sunlight was shining down right around here where you know, it gave a really nice glow to Emma's hair and you can get that really dreamy vibe here.

  • Normally for portraits, I would highly recommend shooting on a 35 mil or a 50 mil because we don't want to get that really weird feel all the wide angle is especially when you're shooting people.

  • So yeah, this is spot, you should definitely check it out and yeah, let's go to Tokyo Tower now, we're at our second location which is of course Tokyo Tower right across from Sheba Cohen and of course Tokyo Tower looks amazing.

  • Let me take some fantastic photos here.

  • Yeah, but actually took it down I think it looks good from every angle but apparently the spot we're going to is a little bit special.

  • I don't know if I fully believe it because I've never seen it but here's hoping you ready.

  • Alright, let's go man, take some shot.

  • Shot shot shot shot shot shot, shot, shot, shot, shot shot, shot, shot, shot shot everybody.

  • Yeah, it's like a couple of photos.

  • That ship is so dark, let's have fun of you walking up the stairs so can you come down like two stairs, two steps, 321 go.

  • All right Emma, you got one more time to one awesome thank you.

  • What do you think?

  • I like him?

  • I like him a lot.

  • It's cool because like it is dark down here and it's super bright outside but I kind of like the contrast, I like it as like a silhouette shot so it's nice and I'm sure on a cloudy day it would be completely different lighting too.

  • So I like it.

  • So for this spot you'll definitely have to go with a wide angle as as you can see here.

  • Um it's pretty, you're pretty like, you know crumbled up here and there's not much space between you and the subjects.

  • I use a 16 mil.

  • Yeah 16-24 I would say the max.

  • Yeah.

  • Somewhere something wild would be the best right now.

  • It's three PM and the light's pretty harsh.

  • It's for ship.

  • Okay.

  • And uh you're gonna have a lot of contrast and that's gonna suck for the model.

  • So what I do is normally stack photos but that is you shoot um you shoot a photo where it's overexposed but the lighting is perfect for the model and then you shoot another photo where you just focus on the subject and in this case it's gonna be the Tokyo Tower.

  • So yeah, you're gonna take, take 22 of these photos, put them in Photoshop and when you stack them, dynamic range is gonna look perfect and you're not gonna have anything overexposed.

  • So I've been here a couple of times but every time I'm here there's a lot of tourists here.

  • So I would highly recommend you guys coming like during at night or early morning.

  • That's the best time to shoot.

  • Um And especially at night you can set up the tripod here and get some long exposure photos with LED lights.

  • That's gonna look amazing and that's what a lot of street photographers do.

  • But yeah, if you don't have anything else just bring a tripod and that should look perfect.

  • We're in our next spot.

  • We've come to Harajuku.

  • Do you guys like Harajuku Fashion, Fun, Crazy, excellent times.

  • But we're here at a photo spot and it's the one, it's a Tokyo Plaza.

  • You guys might have seen it before, but it's full of these crazy mirrors and it's really, really good for photos.

  • That's it.

  • This spot is really fun to take photos, but it does get really busy.

  • So you want to come really early in the morning if you don't want to be surrounded by crowds like we are currently.

  • Yeah.

  • And I feel like right now, you know, nobody's really taking photos of this right now.

  • But I feel like when tourism starts back up again, everybody's going to be here.

  • So just be ready for that.

  • But still it's a good spot.

  • So let's get started.

  • Let's get going guys, let's go, go, go, Bye Bye Alex.

  • We love you.

  • 3-1.

  • Nice.

  • Actually have the lighting is perfect.

  • Mm hmm Mhm 321666.

  • Nice.

  • Super clean.

  • That's so nice.

  • It's around five PM lighting looks perfect here as you can see the sun is shining right into the Tokyo Plaza right now you can have, you can see Jordan's face lighting up real nice.

  • Real smooth.

  • He looks fresh as hell.

  • And now for the photo.

  • So I think for this photo, I'm just gonna go down a little bit trying to get all the mirrors reflecting on it.

  • All right.

  • 321.

  • Mm hmm.

  • I shoot on the Sony A seven s.

  • Mark three.

  • It's amazing for videos.

  • And yeah, if you're shooting photos, I would highly recommend a seven R series R three R four is perfect.

  • One photo is like .25 GB, which is super heavy.

  • So yeah, it's gonna you're gonna have trouble um backing up all that footage.

  • But this camera is it's better for videos, which means The image quality is not as great as they are serious, but it's still decent at all.

  • It's better than an iPhone.

  • Anyway, so 1635.

  • This is the best lens that you can ever have, especially if you're a landscape photographer, man.

  • This awesome.

  • Mm hmm.

  • Cool, wow.

  • Yeah.

  • Here's a shot.

  • Guys.

  • What do you guys think that's good?

  • Yeah.

  • The lighting is amazing right now.

  • I loved it.

  • I didn't expect to like this location as much as I did.

  • It was very, very fun.

  • Honestly, very sick.

  • Okay.

  • Alright.

  • Now, for the next spot.

  • Last location today, we're going to head to Nice.

  • I got you.

  • I got the last spot.

  • Let's get it.

  • Okay.

  • We have come to our final spot, which is your memory lane.

  • Always at the same time.

  • Full of memories or lack thereof.

  • Because everyone's gonna forget what happens down that alley because it's full of drinking your cocoa.

  • Also known as sally.

  • Yes.

  • Miss sally everybody.

  • Indeed.

  • Yeah, because of obvious reasons.

  • Yeah, yeah, but we're not going to be going down and having a drink.

  • We're gonna be going down and taking some photos.

  • So let's do it.

  • Let's do it man.

  • Last part of the day.

  • Last spot.

  • Let's go.

  • Let's go.

  • Alright, alright, this spot is one of my favorite spots here in Tokyo shoot, especially because you have all these lanterns and you've got all these uh stores opening up but it's pretty crowded but if you get it at the right timing, the framing is gonna look perfect.

  • So right now we're gonna shoot Jourdan walking towards me in this chaotic streets for this spot.

  • I'm gonna be shooting on a telephoto lens.

  • I want the background to be compressed.

  • You can have all this imagery in here.

  • And one thing Nice.

  • I think right around like four PM five PM it will be the best because you have a lot of buildings here so the sunlight gets walked out really fast so that's why.

  • Wait, we're done.

  • We went to four different spots.

  • It took so many pictures.

  • What a day.

  • What a day.

  • What is it was funny, I'm excited to see how they turn out definitely.

  • What was your favorite part of the day?

  • My favorite spot.

  • Oh God, I didn't even think about it.

  • A favorite spot.

  • Come on man, let's go.

  • I like the first community type gates.

  • Hey shrine shrine.

  • What was your favorite spot?

  • I really liked the Harajuku one, the mirrors.

  • I don't know why I didn't think I was gonna like that one.

  • I thought I'd like the Tokyo Tower and better, but how would you go and was fantastic.

  • I enjoyed that a lot.

  • Yeah, thank you.

  • Thank you for the one photos.

  • Thanks man.

  • We're having another, another shoot.

  • Another session.

  • We have to have another session.

  • Oh gosh dude, hell yeah, let us know in the comments down below.

  • What spot was your favorite?

  • And thank you so much for taking all the photos today man.

  • Oh yeah, we'll see you in the next video.

  • Peace out.

  • Bye.

  • Yeah.

  • Try to face on the right side, The right side.

  • Yeah.

  • Cool, cool, cool.

  • I can't see the stairs on the stairs, right?
