on an iPhone in four ways:

messages, Google maps, Apple maps, or contacts.

First, you'll want to make sure

your location services are turned on.

Open the settings app.

Tap "Privacy,"

then "Location Services."

To ensure location services is on,

swipe the slider to the right.

If you want to share your location

with someone for a period of time

rather than just sending a one-time-location message,

tap "Share My Location,"

and then ensure it's on by swiping the slider to the right.

Now that your location services are enabled,

let's share your location using messages.

Open the conversation with the person

whom you want to share your location to.

Tap the top of the screen,

which includes the icon

for the person you are chatting with.

If you want to send your current location,

tap "Send My Current Location."

To share your location, tap "Share My Location."

You'll see three options:

"Share for One Hour,"

"Share Until the End of Day,"

or "Share Indefinitely."

After you select the option of your choice,

the contact will receive a notification like this.

To share your location with a contact,

open the contacts app.

Find the person you want to share your location with

and tap on the contact.

Tap "Share My Location" and choose from three options:

"Share Indefinitely," "Share Until End of Day,"

or "Share for One Hour."

If you already have Google maps opened,

you can share your location directly from there.

Tap the blue dot that indicates your location.

If you don't see the blue dot,

tap the blue arrow in the lower right

to put your position in the middle of the map.

In the pop-up menu, select "Share Your Location."

Choose how long you want to share your location.

The names of your most recent contacts

will be generated below.

Select the contacts

with whom you'd like to share your location.

The timer of sharing your location will start.

You can stop sharing it anytime by selecting "Stop."

If you want to share a link with your contacts,

select "More Options,"

and a pop-up will generate

to give you the choice to share a link.

To share your location using Apple maps, open Apple maps.

Look for the blue dot that indicates your current location.

If you don't see the blue dot,

then tap the arrow in the upper right-hand corner

to center yourself on the map.

Now, tap the blue dot.

A menu will pop up at the bottom.

Select "Share."

Choose the message conversation

or apps where you'd like to share your location.

You can also share your location via AirDrop.

After you select where you'd like to send your location,

a link will generate,

and you can share it to your contacts

or your app of choice.
