The first question my trainer asked me is, “how much does a spacesuit weigh?” because we’re going to try to integrate that into training. Hi, I'm Sarafina, and I'm training to live in a Mars simulation for two weeks in Hawa’ii. Training like this will help my body adapt to the higher altitude on Mauna Loa. It'll increase my aerobic capacity, lactic acid tolerance, and oxygen flow to my muscles, which basically just means that hopefully I won't pass out while I'm there. Next stop Hawai'i. Let us know in the comments if you want to learn more about training to live in a Mars simulation, and don't forget to subscribe. Thanks for watching.
