and we're here for the Bridgerton Season 2 premiere.

Let's get ready with me.

(upbeat jazzy music)

So, I think we wanted something that's really

fun, and fresh, and yet quite timeless.

So we thought, why not go for a bold lip

and a bit of a more sort of simple eye.

I tend to do a lot of bold eyes and a nude lip,

so I thought let's change it up a bit.

For a lot of these press tours

I've been doing really like fun, exciting hair looks.

So we thought let's just strip it back today

and really makes sort of a statement, with the kind

of simplicity and elegance.

(jazzy music)

I play Edwina Sharma in season 2 of Bridgerton.

Really, Edwina has traveled from India to London to make

her debut to the ton, and she's looking for a husband.

Her story, this season is very much a coming of age story.

One about self-discovery and self-love.

I think she'd be so excited to go to a premier

if she knew what that was.

I think she'd probably do some really, extravagant hair do.

She has tight curls in her hair.

Have loads of little pins and accessories.

This is actually my first ever premiere.

I mean, it's rather bizarre to think that my

whole career has been in the pandemic.

So I'm really excited to celebrate with the rest of my cast.

I'm looking forward to seeing everyone

but I think Golda Rosheuvel, who plays Queen Charlotte,

is really gonna bring it today with her look.

So I'm excited to see what she's wearing.

(upbeat music)

I actually kind of do have a glam playlist, if you can see

and I sort of add songs to it as I go.

And it contains a lot of Beyonce, obviously Beyonce always.

Some Ariana Grande, Lauren Hill, what else is here?

Some Childish Gambino, some Usher, Ashanti.

So like a real mix of music, but I just think

it like sets the vibe.

For me any event or party starts at glam,

so why not make glamour party too?

(beep)

I forgot to mention someone I absolutely love

which is our British Queen, Bree Runway.

How could I miss Bree?

- [Woman] Charithra?

- Yes?

- [Woman] Someone wants to see you.

- Don't ruin your makeup, air hug, air hug.

Air hug, and kisses. (air kiss noises)

- [Charithra] You look fab, I love you.

- You too. I'll see you out there.

- [Charithra] Absolutely. Oh, I'm gonna-

- [Man In Hall] - Don't cry. - Don't cry, don't cry.

(laughing)

- [Charithra] I'm not.

Okay, now I'm gonna show you my dress for the evening.

I am so excited.

I'm wearing this beautiful Carolina Herrera dress,

designed by the creative director, Wes Gordon.

I just think it's so classic and elegant.

And yet there's something so fresh and fun about it.

It kind of combines both polka dots and florals

which feels very daring.

It's got the classic Carolina Herrera sleeves.

And I think the brand in general

kind of oozes, femininity and elegance.

Okay, I've gotta get dressed.

(upbeat music)

- [Woman] Can you tell me how you feel in this dress.

(Loud exhale) - A little overwhelmed,

I guess.

This is such an exciting moment for me, but also

feel really comfortable.

This feels very me, I guess more it's just the experience

and the moment is bit overwhelming.

(knocks on door)

That's my Mum! We're matching through the evening.

Mummy, Hi.

- Hi Sweetie. (air kiss noises)

- You look beautiful.

- Thank you, you too.

Look at that, my goodness.

- It's amazing, isn't it?

- [Photographer] Lift from your chest,

tuck your ribs in like you're doing Pilates.

Give me a step forward, do not bend that knee.

- [Charithra] Do you bend the knee?

- [Photographer] Yeah. Chin down.
