  • Not weapons? -No way

  • Tools to cut pizza

  • Why do you make pizza cutters?

  • When I thought how to use real weapons like swords, katana and sables,

  • I don't like tools which intend to hurt other people

  • Oh right. Especially in this age

  • That also, and I wanted to make a pizza cutter which looks like a weapon to fill your stomachs

  • That is what I wanted to make -nice

  • Wonderful

  • That is why I make them

  • I really like pizza so I really am happy for this

  • This is hand-made? -Yes, I made it myself

  • hello Nakanishi-san

  • Could you introduce which art is displayed in this booth?

  • As you can see, these are my works this time

  • It's called Ago-Hazurex -funny name

  • The concept here is a pun. Ago-hazure (displaced jaw)

  • and T-rex, both word combined and made into a pun figurine

  • This is another work I did

  • Knight- ammonites

  • ammonites are extinct ancient animals, combined with knights

  • This is also a figurines with a pun

  • So you make art with a combination of two words?

  • That's pretty much it

  • This is cute. I like this

  • In figurine art, is there a diffirence between Japanese and foreign?

  • For people making this kind of figurine, the software and the machine is pretty much common worldwide

  • but what makes Japanese ones different are the various subcultures in Japan

  • Anime is not just for kids but for adults here. Also the religious elements involved and the sense of beauty

  • I think there are many artist who grew on these elements from very young age and grew up with it

  • so I believe quite a various artistic arts are born from there

  • so people experience the Japanese culture from a very young age. Wonderful

  • Thank you

  • Hello nice to meet you. I see a very nice booth. Could you introduce this?

  • We are selling hair bands with horns

  • We make it strong and light

  • For the material, the core is made of aluminum wires

  • for the horns we add wet paper and let it dry and make it hard

  • This is called the Hariko method

  • When it's dry, we add color on top and done

  • It's a wonderful work of art. Also it's so easy to add on

  • It feels like it's always been there

  • That's another key point I try to emphasize. It's so light

  • It's so light, like a normal headband

  • It's made of paper, and the inside is hollow so that's why it's so light

  • People abroad come quite a lot asking what this is made of, and the conversation and questions are quite fun

  • We have this situation going on, but if you can come to Japan and visit us we'll be very happy

  • Oh thank you for the story
