Recently, I'vecometoaninterestingrealizationthat I wantedtosharewithyou, andthat's thatboredomcanactuallybe a goodthing.
Letmeexplainwhat I mean.
Thelastfewmonthshavebeen a bittestingforme, andtheamountofboredom I experiencedwas a hugefactorinthat.
I wasworkingonthingsandgettingthingsdone, butevenstill, I foundmyselfwithwaytoomuchfreetime, andas a result, I wouldgetextremelybored, whichoftentimesledto a stateofdepression.
I'd stareatmywallforhoursjustthinking, I shouldbedoingsomething, I shouldbeworking, I shouldbemovingforward.
Anditwasthisterriblefeeling I canonlydescribeasworthlessness, as I couldn't bringmyselftojustrelaxandjustbebored.
Boredomwashonestlymyworstenemy.
Atleast, that's what I thought.
Boredomis a catalystforcreativity.
Ideasarebornwhenyou'realonewithyourthoughts.
It's okaytotakesometimetobeboredandthink.
As a kid, I wasverymuchintoLegos.
I lovedbuildingmyideastolife, andyoucanimagine, as a kid, I wasalsoboredallthetime, as I'm suremostofuswere.
Inthisstateofboredom, I'd thinkofsomecoolnewthing I couldbuild.
I'd jumpup, grabtheLegobox, andstartbuilding.
And I'llbehonest, I thinkthisiswheremycreativitystemmedfrom.
As a creativeperson, beingabletouseboredomas a toolisprobablyoneofthemostadvantageousthingsyoucoulddo, especiallyinthisdayandage.
Itforcesyourmindtowandertoplacesithasn't before.
Itmakesyouthink, "What's somethingnew I coulddoormake?"
Maybe I'm just a littlenaive, andthisisn't a groundbreakingrealizationforsomepeople, butregardless, itmade a differenceinmymindset, andmaybeit'llhelpyoutoo.
