  • Hey everyone, it's practice time with Hadar and today we are going to practice the different pronunciations of the letter X.

  • So, the letter X can be pronounced with two consonants, a sequence of consonants, as in cake and as in sun, as in excuse, exercise, expect, exceed, expand, execute.

  • If pronouncing those two consonants one after another is challenging for you, just move around between the two consonants, and then gradually try to connect them.

  • Make it seem like it's one sound.

  • And ask yourself if you're adding a vowel in between.

  • We want to put it together.

  • Sometimes the X is pronounced with G and Z.

  • And again, if this transition is tricky for you, moving from one sound to another, just do it again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again.

  • Exist.

  • Exist.

  • Exactly.

  • Exactly.

  • Sometimes the X is pronounced with a Z.

  • Just one single sound.

  • And we find it in the words Xerox or xenophobia.

  • Okay, that's it.

  • In the comments, write down an example of a word with the letter X, and put it in a sentence, and then practice it with a proper pronunciation.

  • Okay?

  • Good.

  • Thank you so much, and I'll see you in the next practice time.
