What was, because obviously being a Southern Cal kid, Los Angeles native, everyone, I'm sure, Laker land was dying to have you in L.A.

What was the deciding factor that led you in Sacramento?

One, this is funny.

One, I had to wait for what you was gonna do first of all.

You know, I had a hell of a time in Chicago.

Like, had some hell of a teammates in Chicago.

Great city, great place.

You know, I think I was just looking for an opportunity just to win at a high level.

You know, wherever that was gonna be.

I think coming out of last season, that was kind of like my view and my approach on this upcoming season.

So, you know, once the season ended, I just kind of took a seat back and kind of, you know, everybody knew I'm in a place where I just wanna win.

So from there, I just, you know, I let the cards play out in a way to where, all right, let me see what landscape of what is gonna win and where I can be a part of that and help with that.

So, you know, Sac came about and they was showing interest.

Like, real interest.

So when I sat back and looked at it and analyzed the team, great players, you know, great coach, you know, and I just always remember the last couple years of always seeing them like this damn beam and winning and all that.

Fans going crazy.

Yeah, for sure got a movement.

And that's definitely one thing you always wanna be a part of is a contagious culture of an organization that wanna win.

And when I looked at all that, you know, I just felt like it fit.

You know, it was a big key piece that I felt like I could bring from a leadership standpoint and definitely, you know, skill standpoint that could kind of, you know, pushes over the edge.

And, you know, it became more and more appealing, you know, as I waited, you know, it took, you know, I kind of took a while to sign because I just wanna make sure the next decision I make, you know, gave me the best opportunity to win.

So I'm definitely looking forward to it.

Where else during that free agency, like where else was you thinking about going?

Just thinking about Philly.

Okay.

Philly definitely was an option.

You know, Lakers was an option always.

Clippers was an option.

And then Heat was an option.

I said those teams for sure was a real personal, legitimate option for me to, you know, that I was considering.
