I'm like jade for men I'm here with Chris Mason Mason K's very own jade jewelry designer And today we're going to be talking about jade for men Chris I think this is the thing people really want to know do men wear jade men really do wear jade Men wear a lot of jade we hear from men all the time and it's growing 2022 was a huge year for men in jade We see Harry and pearls And we see all kinds of celebrities and all kinds of new jewelry and jade is one of them for sure I love hearing that the men in my life love jade my husband and his friends They all wear and almost collect it.

So Chris, let's start with this ring here this would you call this a gypsy style ring?

We would call it a gypsy It is about as classic a men's style as there is or classic ring style as there is just simple Bezel set high polish.

Sometimes we do it in satin gold as well It's a classic design that ring has a black jade stone in it Nice oval cabochons got a good dome good thickness to it because jade is so durable which you always hear and we will talk About it is the perfect style for men and I think a lot of men do like to wear their jewelry every day, too To the wear and tear and you know I will say black jade seems to be really popular with men as well.

Very popular with solid band rings and Discs and barrels and beads lots and lots of black beads.

We have been selling this year, especially to men We like to change our jewelry maybe a little more often, but they do tend to wear it daily And leave it on as well.

They don't necessarily love to take jewelry on and off Jade, especially jade that isn't set the ring you just showed I wouldn't necessarily leave on but the barrel necklace you could get away with so a piece that doesn't isn't setting gold It's something that you could wear every day Especially if it's touching your skin that way the oils in your skin help keep the jade looking really healthy Speaking of the barrel necklace, I think it's growing in popularity with men But what I'm also seeing is kind of the layering aspect where men might wear One or two or two or three necklaces and that barrel is a really good Starting place a kind of a foundation that you can build your neck stack on it is a perfect layering piece It's also perfect for rubbing.

I am I always wear a necklace that I can rub.

Usually it's a disc I'm wearing this fun pendant today with the silk bail.

This has really been a popular item This is just a smooth piece with a silk bail.

So it's perfect perfect for anyone Especially men because then they can wear it.

Yeah anything rubber leather steel We really push the steel because it's so durable like jade.

It's good for you to wear it against your skin It's good for the jade, but it's also good for you.

It's a great worry stone.

It's a perfect worry stone piece I always called Jade the fidget spinner of jewelry.

Yeah, perfect is good for the jade, too It's not like it's gonna make it look dirty or unclear It's perfect for it bracelets are another perfect example like the necklaces like beads for layering There's a perfect example and that's a bigger bead bracelet, which could be worn on its own and they fly So if you see one that you like customers, oh my gosh, grab it because they sell so fast Unfortunately, we do have a lot of disappointment With people that saw something and they didn't grab it and then many of them are very one-of-a-kind So we may try to attempt to make another one, but sometimes it's really difficult So yes, please if you see something you really love grab it, please We don't want you to support it.

It's too one-of-a-kind jade is too unique It is just we just don't have two or ten or fifty of the same piece We just don't there's there's usually one usually usually one piece of jade That's like it the pendant you're showing now is a perfect example where it's it's a simple piece However, that exact piece I won't see again I might see something similar right but not that exact piece, but that's that's a perfect example very similar to what I'm wearing That happens to have the gold simple oval ring bail as opposed to the silk bail But it's perfect simple can still be worn on anything could certainly be worn every day and would feel really great To rub and to touch as a worry stone.

I wear up this solid band ring almost every day It's a squared off ring So it has edges and I was a little concerned that if I wore it every day I wear it to the supermarket and just you know at work and I'm around I'm banging things around with other jade Oh, maybe the edge won't hold up.

Well, I wear it and the eight the edge has held up It's tough now if I really whack it, maybe if I drop it on a tile floor There's a chance that it may crack.

But otherwise sure good.

Don't drop any of your jewelry on the tile Don't do it In it no hot tubs.

No chlorine.

No With your jewelry of your jewelry take it off over your bed, please over your bed Yeah, or if you insist on being in the bathroom in your near your sink Just lay a towel down lay a towel right over the sink and you're much safer It's gonna go down the drain always be careful with all of your jewelry.

Oh my goodness, please So going back to your band though that you're wearing Chris.

Is that the type of thing you would even recommend?

Let's say a man is looking for a jade wedding.

Yeah something to wear every day.

That's solid band with no metal Would you recommend I highly recommend it?

We've been getting lots and lots of calls because it's so durable and so different not everyone wants to wear gold every day Well and with the cost of gold nowadays I would say depending on the quality of jade that you get it might be a much more competitive price Absolutely jade in general jade rings have been very popular with men in general whether solid bands or as you showed the gypsy.

Oh, yeah Rings in general have been one of the things bracelets beads and rings have really been like crazy with men It's funny.

You know when you do research you talk about men's jewelry with men's jewelry What do you if you do any research at all?

The first thing that comes up is cufflinks?

How many how many and we're cufflinks and you know most men my husband doesn't wear cufflinks I doesn't either.

I mean most men if they do wear cufflinks in their lifetime.

It's usually special occasions Yeah, how many cufflinks are you gonna have how many could you possibly give as a gift?

That's why jade is perfect because there's so many variations so many options really great prices, too We're not talking gateway jade is just that and it's meant to be a first piece second piece and it's not crazy expensive It's to be worn and loved every day It's not for you to worry about this to really enjoy one of the first uses of jade was tools I mean, this is durable this to be worn every day This is perfect for men men can feel there are colors that they would love, you know, we call it whiskey jade But that nice red rusty jade.
