  • So, uh, what do you think?

  • You got your little one on the way?

  • Yes.

  • Three months, she's coming.

  • She's coming.

  • Have you thought about names yet?

  • So the names are in the making.

  • Okay.

  • Now, this is what the husband said that he said since you took my last name.

  • You can decide on the first name.

  • Wow, that's amazing.

  • Justin.

  • He actually did.

  • So he really doesn't care?

  • He doesn't care cause.

  • Because it's Polendy.

  • You got the last name.

  • Right.

  • Exactly.

  • I got last name.

  • So he is leaving it up to me to decide on her name.

  • Now most important, we do want a Japanese name, right?

  • Right.

  • It is the year of the Dragon.

  • Right.

  • Uh, and then we want a name that Americans can pronounce.

  • Right.

  • Right, exactly.

  • Right?

  • Because even like, let's say dragon, Ryu, people say Raiu.

  • The name Ryu, that'd be Raiu.

  • Yeah, Ryu, that'd be Raiu.

  • Yes.

  • Yeah, exactly.

  • It's complicated because I want to make sure the name matches exactly how it sounds.

  • And the hard part is like when the Japanese names get long.

  • It's really hard for like American people to pronounce and to remember too, right?

  • Yeah.

  • It can't have that many syllables.

  • Yeah, yeah, yeah.

  • And then, of course, how it's written in kanji is very important.

  • So it's a little complicated.

  • Cause I remember like a buddy of mine, you know Keisuke, right?

  • Yeah.

  • So growing up, I remember being in class and when they would read out his name for the first time.

  • They'd be like, Keisuki?

  • Exactly, right.

  • And you don't want that happening to your kid, right?

  • Yeah.

  • It is.

  • Maybe like one or two syllables.

  • That really matters, it's short enough where people can pronounce it.

  • But something that has a meaning in how it's written in kanji.

  • Yeah.

  • So you haven't like really have any specifics yet.

  • But Japanese name.

  • But.

  • That American people can pronounce.

  • And remember.

  • Remember.

  • And the short syllable.

  • And the short syllable.

  • If you have any ideas, write it on the comments.

  • Yeah.

  • Let's see.

  • Yeah.

  • Exactly.

  • Pretty open to it.

  • And the Japanese root has to be strong.

  • It's going to be there.

  • So.

  • Yeah.

  • Let's see.

  • Let's see what happens.

  • We'll find out.

  • Yes.

  • Stay tuned.

So, uh, what do you think?
