  • Have you ever tipped a laundry pod like this into your toilet?

  • Even if it sounds a bit strange at first, it has a really ingenious background.

  • In this short video, I'll show you exactly how it works and what you need to bear in mind.

  • First of all, you need to boil some water.

  • Boil it to around 50 degrees using a kettle.

  • I'll show you exactly what this will do for you in a moment.

  • Now go to your toilet and open it.

  • Now grab a detergent pod like the one you would normally use in your washing machine, because their ingredients make them very suitable for cleaning.

  • They also consist of a thin shell that dissolves in water.

  • This means that all you have to do now is simply throw this detergent pod into your toilet.

  • As it remains in the water, it will dissolve within a few minutes.

  • However, you can speed things up a little and improve the cleaning performance if you take the boiled water here and pour it in.

  • Make sure that you only pour it into the water and not directly onto the porcelain.

  • It should also never be hotter than 50 degrees.

  • Now you can already see how the whole thing starts to dissolve and foam up over time.

  • Now grab the toilet brush and wipe through again thoroughly, you will see that you can really get all the dirt out, even the more stubborn ones.

  • But it also has a second brilliant advantage.

  • Once you have wiped through thoroughly, you should now rinse to get rid of all the dirt residue.

  • The second brilliant advantage of the detergent pod is that it smells incredibly good like freshly washed laundry.

  • So your toilet is completely clean and your entire bathroom smells really fresh.

  • If you still want to know why you should stick a panty liner in your shoe, then take a look at the video you see on the screen now.
