I'll take 20 cheeseburgers.
Absolutely.
Just the, did you want to do just the regular cheeseburgers or want to switch it up?
Do the most popular one.
Okay.
And then just throw on regular hamburgers and cheeseburgers too.
Because it's not for me, it's for the homeless, so.
Oh, beautiful.
Do you want fries with that?
Yeah, we'll do some fries with it.
It's just for the homeless?
Yeah.
Let me run that by the owner and see what we can do for you.
That would be cool.
Hey, how's it going?
So we're getting uh 20 orders of just burgers in general and then handing out to hungry people.
That sounds like a great idea.
You guys make that many in a short amount of time?
Oh, yeah.
You want me to come back there and help you make them?
Yeah, you should definitely come see how it's done.
Yeah?
Yeah, let's do it.
17 cheeseburgers and three veggie burgers?
So do you know a shelter where we can bring the food to?
We do a lot with Youthlink, they work with LGBT youth in a housing program and a drop in center, we could take it to the drop in center there.
I love that idea.
Perfect.
You want to help us bring the food out to the people?
I sure can, I wouldn't miss that.
Yeah, sounds like a plan.
We can't do all these burgers without milkshakes, let's add 20 shakes to the order.
If you're in the Lauren, we'll add 20 shakes.
And if you make the shakes, then you get the employee discount.
Okay, I'm sold.
That's good.
So you're the owner of it, correct?
Yeah, my husband and I, in 2023, we raised just over $100,000 for 50 different charities.
Okay.
That's so cool.
People come in, make a donation for their bingo card and everybody has a really great time.
Oh, that's so cool.
So with your employee discount, that comes to $211.84.
There it is.
Thank you for your help and people.
Of course, man.
Gabby.
Thank you so much.
Yeah, you're welcome, then here this is for you.
Muchas gracias.
Yeah.
Appreciate you guys.
Yeah, it's really our pleasure.
Yeah, no, thanks.
Our pleasure.
I'll do ten orders of jerk chicken.
Thank you very much, man.
Ten orders of jerk chicken.
That's a lot of food, anything special today?
It's for my friends out on the street, man, so let's make it with love.
Oh, definitely nice, man.
Appreciate you guys for doing that.
We normally do stuff like that here with Easter, last year we did 400 free meals for the community and this year we're shooting for 2,000.
That's a lot of food.
It is, we got to show the love, as much as they show us, we got to show it back.
I love that, man.
So I'll make sure I give you a discount on that as it's for the homeless.
You don't got to do that though.
We got to show some love as well.
That's right.
Oh, you have a tap.
Okay, cool.
All right, bro.
I'm going to do no tip and I'm going to give you a cash tip, my man.
No problem.
Could I help you make it?
Oh, definitely.
Really?
Okay.
So there's this all, like, typical Jamaican food?
Typical Jamaican food.
Do you from Jamaica, huh?
Born and raised in Jamaica.
So why'd you move to Minnesota, man?
To work and then this is where I met my wife, so.
You're stuck here now, huh?
And I'm happy about it.
Are you?
One jerk sauce.
How long have you owned this place for, dude?
Going towards two years now.
What got you to start giving back to the community?
You just do it because you want to or did somebody plant that seed?
Well, growing up with minimal stuff what I have.
I never choose to have this.
I feel like I have more than enough, so I could not share with the community.
We look out.
We look out for each other.
Why did you open a restaurant first?
So here's the funny thing.
I'm the oldest of three boys and my mom taught me how to cook since I was like eight years old.
And cooking is all I've known since starting at eight and doing it professionally for 20 years now, that's how I come about this restaurant.
Be honest with you, if you take away cooking from me, it's like taking away everything from me.
If you had a message for the people watching the video.
What's your message, dude?
I'll definitely tell them, keep trying, no matter what you're doing, keep pushing forward.
It doesn't happen overnight.
But it will happen if you become perseverant.
Yeah.
Appreciate you guys.
Appreciate you, man.
Once I get done handing out the food, I'm going to come back, okay?
Oh, yeah.
It'll be a good one.
All right.
You'll be excited.
Appreciate you guys.
All right.
See you soon.
All right, man.
Thank you.
Bro.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Here you go.
Thank you.
Here you go, bro.
Good stuff.
Thank you, sir.
Yup.
Appreciate it, guys.
Appreciate you guys, man.
Thanks a lot.
That's for you, man.
Appreciate you.
You have an excellent rest of your day.
Same for you guys.
All right.
Much love, man.
Appreciate you.
