4th, a child was born without such typical facial features. It's been about a month and

with the child doing much better, his parents are speaking out, saying "he's just like any

other baby. He just doesn't have a nose." The child survived his early life by breathing

out of his mouth. To help him eat without interrupting that breathing, doctors performed

a tracheotomy. Due to Eli's airway condition, his parents say taking care of him is a bit

more of a challenge, since the tracheotomy must be cleaned and suctioned twice a day.

Doctors say when Eli is older, it is possible, to construct a nasal pathway.
