Subtitles section Play video Print subtitles Botox for masseter reduction, also known as jaw-line tapering with Botox, or the V-line procedure, is a procedure that I very commonly perform. Dr. Yoo is very intuitive to his patients. He really listens, and is very conservative as well. Botox for masseter reduction is performed mainly for two indications. The first indication is cosmetic. I'm here today to get Botox on my masseters, my jaw-line. When patients feel the width of the lower third of their face, or the angles of their jaw, are too wide, often-times that is caused by hypertrophy or enlargement of the masseter muscle. Treating that area with Botox will make that muscle relax, and over time become smaller and slim and taper the face. I just wanted to improve my look a little bit. The second indication for Botox for masseter reduction is functional; for those patients that have bruxism or have issues with grinding their teeth, and straining their jaw, it helps to relax that muscle and prevents excess grinding and excess strain. It can be done in the exam room, and it's a quick 30-minute, in-office procedure. This procedure (Botox for masseter reduction) was super easy. I'm glad I did it. I had great results, I'm really happy. As you can see, Botox for masseter reduction, or jaw tapering with Botox, is a relatively low impact, quick, safe and effective procedure for getting significant slimming of the jaw-line. Dr. Yoo is very careful about the aesthetics of the procedures. Looking like you lost a few pounds without having done anything. Or reducing the amount of teeth grinding and tension in your jaw. He really listened to what I wanted. If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact me, or my office, and I look forward to speaking to you soon. www.donyoomd.com info@donyoomd.com 310-275-2467
