Yesterday the internet developed a serious rash of headlines touting the Disney animation sequel, but if one read further it only proved to be wishful thinking from the cast. John C Reilly merely revealed he'd on signed for a sequel, which could just be part of his original contract. And while Sarah Silverman has been quoted as saying Wreck-It Ralph 2 will happen, she's not exactly the most responsible team player. Which is why angry Disney execs will likely call Reilly to complain instead, because nobody's afraid of yelling at a beat-up old Teddy Bear. Elsewhere in animation, The Angry Birds movie is already soaring high with the news that its director - Clay Kaytis - has just signed with top talent agency William Morris Endeavor. A former top gun at Disney Animation, Kaytis has worked on Frozen, Tangled and...Wreck-It Ralph! Animation is cut-throat these days, and it looks like this film adaptation of the popular app could be another flying pig launched at the Mouse House. Finally, with Fox's Empire from Lee Daniels starring Terrence Howard and Oscar Nominee Taraji P Henson and ABC's Black-ish from Lawrence Fishburne, more big screen black talent is headed to the small screen. Producer Will Packer, the most prolific and powerful person in black film since Tyler Perry, has just signed a two year deal with Universal Television. Packer already has two sitcoms coming up, NBC's People are Talking and ABC's Uncle Buck - plus History and Lifetime's Roots remake. Starring Packer favorite Kevin Hart...? And that's your movie minute! For more in-depth coverage on these stories and more, be sure to check out the links in the video description.
