Begin by focusing on your breath. Inhale deeply, through your nose, and exhale through the
orifice of your choice.
(Deep breath.)
A feeling of deep relaxation hits you in the face, like a brick. Over and over. Brick after
brick of relaxation thrown by the hand of the universe.
(Deep breath.)
Going deeper now. Starting with your feet, and working your way up to the top of your
head, just shout at your muscles. Tell them that it’s time to loosen up. Or else. And
you can use a high pitched tone of voice. Almost like a screech. Something grating,
that your muscles won’t be able to ignore.
(Like a pterodactyl.)
And just consider now that there might be something wrong with you. Maybe that’s why
you can’t relax. Maybe you don’t deserve a tranquil mind. And think of all the horrible
things you’ve done in your lifetime.
(You monster.)
And just before you open your eyes, we’ll go even deeper as you picture yourself inside
an abandoned warehouse in front of a group of men wearing masks and carrying large automatic
weapons. And their leader is talking to you very angrily. He probably has an accent.
(Racist.)
And he’s just explaining that they’ve kidnapped your daughter. And if you don’t
relax completely, then they’ll shoot her in 5
