Subtitles section Play video Print subtitles - You were here two weeks ago. - That was so crazy and exciting and... - I know. - Weird. - Well, we have to--becuase you sang that song. That song came together so fast, and when you sang it on the show it had just come out, like, the day before or something. So, I don't think people really understood what that song was about. I think people were like, "What is she saying?" - Right. - And then, of course, stuff leaked out and people found out, but--'cause I was-- - What? - After the show-- [laughs] 'Cause after the song I was like, you know, look at her. 'Cause I was so proud of how strong you are. - I love you. You are so awesome. I mean, she came over to my house and I played her the song. I was like, "I gotta play you my new song." I played it--we were in my bathroom... - [chuckles] - And we played the song. - She has a nice bathroom. - And then I-- [laughs] I do have a nice bathroom. And then I texted you the song and I was like, "You gotta listen to it loud in your car." - Yeah. - And then-- - It was. - And then you had me ov-- you were like, "Come over and do it on the show." I was like, "Okay." It's really fun to have, like, her as a friend 'cause you can totally hook yourself up. - [laughs] - You could just be like... - No, but it was really--it's such a great song, and it's so personal, and that was the first time you performed it 'cause you literally had just written it and then you didn't plan on releasing it and then you did and then you did it on the show which was your first time doing it. - It was. - Which was kind of emotional for you. - It was super emotional. I even think I sang one of the lyrics wrong. Like, I even said--like, and it was totally wrong, but nobody caught it, but... - I mean, when someone is going through what you went through, and we won't, you know--if you've read the magazines, you know what we're talking about, and, you know, if you haven't, I don't know if we really wanna talk about it. Do, uh... [sputters] [both laugh] Divorce, there's the divorce. - Whoa, the D word. - The divorce and, you know, he was... - Oh, it's just... - It was--so, it was you were hurting. You were hurting. And then you get to do this creative outlet of writing a song, and like you said, then you have people--and I think a lot of women need this--a lot of women are going through the same thing you're going through. - You know, it's comforting, you know to--and also, music for me is, like, it's what defines me. Like, it makes me feel--like, validates me as a person. - Mm-hmm. - Like, that's my whole thing. Like, if I can write a song then I just feel like, "Yes." You know? - Yes, you wrote a bunch of good songs. A whole bunch of good songs. And it's, you know--and I'm glad that people are seeing the strength because you've turned a corner. You went through a lot of pain and it's still--I'm sure, you know, there's stuff that happens and different emotions come up every day, but you're in a great place now. You're in a happy place. - I am in a good place. - Yeah. - I'm having a lot of fun. It's like a whole new, like, life, a whole new chapter, and it's been so great to be on the--like, on "The Voice," and being around all that music, and I'm--did you see my team? Like, how amazing... - Yes. - They were the other night... - Yes [cheers and applause] - I love Jeffery. - I love Jeffery. Jeffery-- - I mean, I gotta say, I don't--I hate picking favorites, but I love Jeffery. I think Jeffery's amazing. - You know what? The thing about him is, not to brag, but let's just face it, it was a one chair turn around... - Mm-hmm. - And I heard that guy, and I was like, "He's amazing," but to watch him not just blossom as a singer, but as a person, like, to be able to, like, open up and, like, evolve, and, like, let me in, and--wait till you see him next week. - Yeah. - It's crazy. - Yeah. - He just keeps getting better. - Yeah, it's great, and I love watching the show, and I love watching you and how fun you are on the show, and how--you seem to have gotten more and more relaxed as the season went on and more playful as the season goes on. - [laughing] - Right? - You're so cute. - [laughs] - I can't... - I'm just trying to, like, dance around the subject. - [humming] - You know. - [laughs] - But you're happy and you're having fun. - I'm having lots of fun. - Yeah. - Yeah. - That's all I'm saying. [both laugh] - Whoa! [laughs] [laughter and applause] - I don't know where that came from. - Like...ride 'em cowboy! Yeah. - I don't know why that's up there... but um... - [laughs] - That's right, he's one of he coaches, and probably during another commercial break you're on Adam's lap. I don't know, I mean... - I'm usually on one of their laps between each commercial. - Yeah, right. Yeah. - [laughs] - No, and I've told you before, I love Blake. I think he's hilarious. And he's--he really is knowledgable-- he knows so much about music doesn't he? - You don't--I did not know this about him because I didn't even know who he was before I was on the show, but-- - Before what? - Before I was on "The Voice"... - Oh, okay. - I had never heard of him before, but the thing--I didn't. I hadn't. [laughter] I'm from--I'm an OC girl, like, what would I know, you know, and I--but he knows every single 80's song. Like, he, literally, is a musical jukebox. Like, he knows everything about music. It's crazy. - Yeah, he's--and he's a good kisser or no? - [laughs] Wow. You're so awesome. - I'm try-- [both laugh] All right. [cheers and applause] All right. I'm just having fun. - I love you. - I love you.
