Subtitles section Play video Print subtitles WELCOME TO ALL HANDS UPDATE, I'M PETTY OFFICER JEN BLAKE. THE MQ-4C TRITON UNMANNED AIRCRAFT SYSTEM LANDED AT NAVAL AIR STATION PATUXENT RIVER, MARYLAND, SEPTEMBER 18TH AFTER COMPLETING ITS FIRST CROSS-COUNTRY FLIGHT. "THIS IS AN EXCITING DAY. I PERSONALLY WITNESSED HISTORY BEING MADE AGAIN. HERE TRITON COMING FROM THE WEST COAST TO THE EAST COAST. ITS LONGEST FLIGHT EVER NOT JUST GEOGRAPHICALLY BUT TIME IN THE AIR. IT WAS JUST GOOSEBUMPS. IT WAS A PHENOMENAL SIGHT TO SEE AND TO EXPERIENCE WITH THE TEAM." TRITON COMPLETED 15 FLIGHT TESTS, SHOWING ITS ABILITY TO OPERATE AT VARIOUS SPEEDS AND ALTITUDES. "SO THIS IS REALLY THE FUTURE OF NAVAL AVIATION. I'M A P-3 PILOT BY TRADE. I'VE FLOWN MY ENTIRE CAREER AND TRITON IS PART OF THE P-3 REPLACEMENT. AND SO WHEN I THINK ABOUT THAT AND THINK ABOUT WHERE THIS IS GOING TO TAKE NAVAL AVIATION, IT'S JUST INCREDIBLE. THE TECHNOLOGY, THE CAPABILITY, IT JUST REDEFINES HOW WE DO THINGS."
