Subtitles section Play video Print subtitles Alright guys welcome back to my channel. This is AD604 back again and after spending a week playing in the Kobe 11 I think I am ready to give you guys a through out performance review uhm regarding its performance, of course. And lets get into the shoe let me start off by saying that the Kobe 11 is indeed better than the Kobe 10 but that is really about it. The Kobe 11 simply is a shoe that's on the higher tier of basketball shoes. In my opinion, the shoe is a little bit expensive and there are some draw back for the shoe that is gonna scratch it off my list for spending 200 something dollars on a pair of basketball shoes. Lets get into the traction first and I must say the traction on the Kobe 11 is not the best I have ever experienced, especially in the Kobe series that uhm I generally feel like the Kobe 9's traction and the Kobe 10 is much better than the Kobe 11. The reason being the Kobe 11 uhm really suck alot of dust. And alot of dust will get covered in the little grooves here and even on the surfaces so it kind of make it very slippery on dusty courts. Now I have been playing on a variety of different types of courts and these dont perform as I have expected on a dust court. So therefore the traction on the Kobe 11 is really nothing much more than just normal. However moving on to the cushioning of the Kobe 11 that is where the Kobe 11 actually excels. In my opinion, the drop in midsole of the Kobe 11 being the uhm Zoom in the heel and Lunarlon carrier and all of that, cut out like a free and all of that on the Kobe 11. I think it is actually very very comfortable. It is more comfortable than the Kobe 9 and it is more comfortable than the Kobe 10. You know there is abundant of impact protection, there is enough court feel and of course the Zoom heel uh is there but you cant really feel it in the sense that's poping under your feet, but you do feel this thing doing its job. You do feel the impact protection so therefore I think the Kobe 11 cushioning is absolutely great. And as you saw in the performance test while I was doing those shooting around drills my feet didn't not really hit the ground that hard. In my final opinion on the cushioning of the Kobe 11, the cushioning is definitely abundant and it is definitely better than the Kobe 9 and Kobe 10. Moving on to the upper you have a full piece FlyKnit upper on the Kobe 11 and let me just say this upper is absolutely great. Now this upper is a FlyKnit upper backed with TPU wiring inside and that really gives you structure and takes away some of the flexibility of the FlyKnit. You sort of have this happy medium between flexibility and rigidness. The upper moves along with your feet very very well. It is not rigid in a sense. It doesn't require much breaking in time at all. Plus I really like how they look so the upper on the Kobe 11 it is a go for me, definitely. The lock down and fit of the Kobe 11 is definitely another strong point of the shoe. Like I said in my initial video, the Kobe 11's ankle collar is very well padded and contoured and that is very true when it comes to performance because you don't have any heel slipping in the shoe and you feel that your heel is secure in the shoe at all times. So really from the midfoot back on the Kobe 11 you will have no problem in terms of lock down. Everything is locked in place, everything is hugged to feet and you are ready to go. However in the toe box there is a little bit more room than I expected, I should have went half size down in the shoe. Uhm not Im not saying that the shoe fits half size big, I think it fits true to size its just that the toe box, the front of the shoe, is a little bit roomier compared to other models. This might be designed on purpose to accommodate for the wide footers who is going to buy this shoe and of course if you want that snug fit like you had in the previous Kobe model just go half size down or try them out half size down you will probably like those one more. Personally, I dont have a wide feet so I think I should have went half size down in the Kobe 11s. Just to give you guys my final thoughts on the Kobe 11 that at a price point in Canada at 265, I dont think the shoe is worth it. Not saying that this is a bad performer, indeed it is a excellent excellent on court performer as I have expected, however it is just not worth 265 plus tax. So for the Kobe 11 I would like to conclude that I really enjoyed the upper, cushioning, and the lock down of the shoe but however I think the traction needs a little bit more work. Alright guys that is my performance test for the Kobe 11 Elite Low, if you like the video please like the video and share it for me. Also let me know how you feel about the traction because I feel like other people might have some different feed backs. I would love to hear your opinions on the traction of the Kobe 11.
