and do not be harsh with them. Train up a child in the way he should go,

and when he is old he will not depart from it.

And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave

you. Therefore a man shall leave his father and

his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.

Your wife will be like a fruitful vine within your house; your children will be like olive

shoots around your table. Listen, my son, to your father's instruction

and do not forsake your mother's teaching. Whoever brings ruin on their family will inherit

only wind, and the fool will be servant to the wise.

The wicked die and disappear, but the family of the godly stands firm.

A wise son brings joy to his father, but a foolish man despises his mother.

Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. "Honor your father and mother".

Children, always obey your parents, for this pleases the Lord.

So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth

himself. And I will be a father to you, and you shall

be sons and daughters to me, says the Lord Almighty.

But if anyone does not provide for his relatives, and especially for members of his household,

he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.

Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land that the Lord

your God is giving you. However, let each one of you love his wife

as himself, and let the wife see that she respects her husband.
