  • welcome to how to cook that I am ann reardon today we are going to make an

  • oreo no bake cheesecake.

  • If you want it to look like an actual oreo then the first thing that you need

  • to do is the make the details to go on top out of cookie dough. The recipe for the

  • cookie dough is on the website you can follow the link in

  • the description below this video. Roll out your cookie dough and then cut out the

  • letters to make 'oreo', two triangles, then use a straw to cut out some mini cirlces

  • and then cut lots of strips and cut them into tiny rectangles, to go around the edge of the cheesecake

  • the cheesecake. Arrange your letters and cut out an oval big enough to fit around the ranges latest content added i have a big enough to feed durant

  • word 'oreo'. Bake them in the oven. They won't take long becasue they are quite

  • small pieces so probably five, ten minutes and they'll be done. Next

  • make the fudgey brownie base and top. Take your oreaos and separate them into the

  • biscuit bit and the filling Place the cookie part into a plastic bag and crush it

  • with a rolling pin until you have fine crumbs.

  • Next put your butter

  • into a bowl and melt it in the microwave

  • add the eggs and whisk it in

  • pour int he sugar and mix it around well.

  • Now it's time to add the cocoa powder and self raising flour.

  • roughly chop some dark chocolate and add it to your mixture then finally

  • add in the crushed oreos. not the filling bit just the cookie bit of it.

  • Stir with a spoon until just combined.

  • Grease and line two tins with baking paper

  • Tip half of the mixture into each and spread to the

  • edges

  • bake in the oven until they are just cooked

  • right into the centre you can put a knife into the centre to check that they are not still

  • liquid

  • Take them out of the oven, run a knife around the edge and then take the tin in both

  • hands and shake it up and down and turn the pan and shake it up and down until you can

  • feel that it's loose on all sides. Then place a cooling rack covered in baking

  • paper on the top

  • and flip it over to turn it out

  • Then put that to one side to cool completely. To make you filling firstly sprinkle some

  • gelatin over some cold water

  • and then set that aside

  • Put the cream cheese in the bowl of an electric mixer

  • and whip until smooth

  • tehn pour in your sugar and your oreo stuffing from earlier, I hope you didn't eat it and then pour in your

  • milk

  • and mix that up

  • by now your gelatin will have bloomed which means it's absorbed all the water

  • and swollen up

  • Microwave it until it is melted but watch it carefully to make

  • sure it doesn't bubble over in the microwave.

  • then pour that into the mixture while the beaters are running. Roughly chop up the

  • rest of your oreos then

  • line a container on the sides and the base with baking paper

  • and pour in some of the mixture

  • sprinkle over the oreos, trying to keep them in the middle because we want the

  • outside of our cheesecake to look white like it does on an oreo

  • add some more of your mixture and repeat that until you have used it all up.

  • Then using a spoon push any pieces that have gone to the edge back into the middle.

  • The n

  • place that in the freezer

  • to set. To assemble your cheesecake use a little melted chocolate to put your

  • letters in place, then your triangles and the little rectangles all the way around the

  • edge and add your other details.

  • Then take your frozen cheesecake

  • pull at the paper on the sides to loosen and pull out the cheesecake

  • peel a paper off the bottom of the cheesecake and place it centre off the

  • base and peel the paper off the edge.

  • Then add you top layer and put it into place.
