What a night and what an election.
Republican Donald Trump stunned the world by defeating heavily favored Hillary Clinton
in Tuesday's presidential election, ending eight years of Democratic rule and sending
the United States on a new, uncertain path.
Live on the line with us is Michael Regan, reporter for PBS NewsHour joining us from
New York.
Mike, you've been covering the elections for months now.
I know you were at the Clinton camp up until just a few hours ago.
But, in general, how is the American public reacting to this historic, stunning victory
by Trump?
What is the atmosphere like over there?
I'm sure there are
just a lot to process and figure out for the millions of Americans there.
Now, once the dust of this result settles, what do think is going to happen next?
Michael Regan, reporter for PBS NewsHour live from New York.
Thanks, Mike.
