  • (upbeat, jam rock music)

  • - Hey, everybody, Jordan Page with Millennial Moms here.

  • With another video for you.

  • If you're new here, I come back every Wednesday

  • with a great video for you.

  • This week's theme is.

  • Tradition.

  • Tradition!

  • Traditions.

  • If your house is anything like mine,

  • one of your tradtions for the holidays

  • is to fill your home with family and friends.

  • But, if your house is anything like mine,

  • it gets pretty messy pretty fast.

  • Today, I'm gonna share with you,

  • the top secret way to clean your house

  • in ten minutes.

  • It's so easy, let's get to it.

  • You know the phone call.

  • Oh, hey Aunt Suzy, how are you?

  • Oh, you're in town, that's awesome.

  • You wanna stop by?

  • In ten minutes?

  • Yeah, totally.

  • 'Kay, see you then.

  • (dramatic, dark music)

  • Ahhhhh!

  • The first step is, do not panic.

  • The first thing you're gonna focus on is

  • the main living space of your house.

  • (fast-tempo violin music)

  • Focus on only the rooms that you know

  • for sure they are going to go into.

  • My big secret is to grab

  • laundry baskets.

  • Those babies are priceless.

  • Run around the house as fast as you can,

  • throw as much junk in the laundry baskets as you can.

  • Don't worry about where it goes.

  • Throw everything in the baskets

  • and hide those baskets.

  • My favorite hiding places include

  • closets, the garage, inside my car,

  • and even inside the shower.

  • People don't really look inside your shower.

  • And if they do, they're weird

  • so it's their own dang fault.

  • Be sure to spray, light, or turn on something scented.

  • Gotta get that stinky sock smell outta there.

  • Pick a few rooms that are your designated

  • dumping rooms and lock the door

  • so your guests do not accidentally wander in.

  • Your next priority is the bathroom.

  • (fast-tempo violin music)

  • Usually there's one bathroom that your

  • guests will be using.

  • You gotta tackle it.

  • (dramatic, dark music)

  • Wash your hands in the sink.

  • As you're washing your hands,

  • get 'em nice and soapy,

  • and give the sink, the handles and the basin

  • a nice scrub-down with your hands.

  • Take a rag, dry it off and bam.

  • Spot clean that mirror.

  • It only takes a second.

  • Now it's time for the toilet.

  • Take the wipe, do a quick wipe down

  • of the handle, the top, the bottom,

  • and do the sit last, will ya?

  • That's gross.

  • Sprinkle a little of this stuff in there.

  • Give it a little scrubba, scrubba, scrub.

  • And don't flush it.

  • Leave the cleaner in there 'cuz people will

  • think you slaved away all day.

  • And, of course, spray some of that

  • good smelling stuff.

  • Do you have a sneaky way to hide all

  • the junk that's lying around in your house

  • when company comes?

  • Let us know in the comments below,

  • I love getting new ideas.

  • Now it's time to tackle the kitchen.

  • (fast-tempo violin music)

  • So why do we do the kitchen last?

  • Well, because it's probably one of the

  • dirtiest spaces and if you focus only

  • on the kitchen, the rest of your house

  • is gonna be a disaster.

  • Also, it's not awkward to be tidying up

  • your kitchen when your guests arrive.

  • Grab some more laundry baskets and start stuffing.

  • (jazzy music)

  • (upbeat country music)

  • If you've got dirty dishes, you can stick

  • whole dishes in the dishwasher,

  • whether it's dirty or clean.

  • You can stuff 'em under the sink,

  • you can put 'em in a laundry basket and

  • hide 'em somewhere else.

  • Wipe down the countertops in the kitchen.

  • People will notice crusties and fingerprints

  • and nasty things on your counter.

  • But what they won't notice is your floors.

  • If you have time, when all is said and done,

  • sweep your floors but mopping is a last priority.

  • Just as the guest are arriving,

  • turn on some lovely music,

  • make sure to flip on all the lights,

  • and enjoy.

  • (Jaunty Christmas music) (doorbell ringing)

  • Well, hey, Aunt Suzy, so good to see you.

  • Come on in, we were just hangin' out,

  • waitin' for ya.

  • Just, yeah, come on in.

  • So, there you go.

  • Isn't that easy?

  • I hope that was helpful and I hope it

  • showed you that you can continue your

  • traditions even if you feel like your house

  • is not up to par.

  • Thanks for watching,

  • I will see you back here next Wednesday,

  • so please subscribe so you do not miss

  • any video.

  • Come back tomorrow to see Michelle

  • give some great advice and tips.

  • And if you like what you see,

  • give a thumbs up, I really like the feedback.

  • Be sure to check out my own channel.

  • Can't wait to see you guys next week.

  • Until then, ta ta!

  • (coughing)

  • Smells great.

  • (sighs)
