Well, maybe not really, but in this idiom, it does. Okay, so let's imagine your bed and on the one side, it's very sunny and cheerful and a happy side, okay? On the other side or the wrong side of the bed, it's a very sad and dark, unlucky, grumpy side, right? So, the wrong side is very bad and the right side is a very good place, right? So, if you get up on the wrong side of the bed, it's very bad, alright? So, let's imagine this dark, unhappy, wrong side of the bed, alright? Let's listen to some examples. Mom! I hate school. I don't want to go today! What's the problem? Did you get up on the wrong side of the bed? Alright, so the daughter is in a very bad mood, yeah, 'I don't want to go to school,' and mom asks, 'Did you get up on the wrong side of the bed?' Yeah, are you in a bad place? Alright, let's listen to another example. How was your day? Well, I missed my bus, was late for school and I forgot my homework, so I pretty much woke up on the wrong side of the bed. Alright, so she's explaining she's having a really bad day and that she woke up on the wrong side of the bed. So, this idiom is useful to explain being in a bad mood, yeah, not feeling happy, not having a good day and we say that you got up on the wrong side of the bed. Right and if you tell someone, 'Are you in a bad mood,' it's a little rude and maybe they feel a little angry, but a very casual and humorous way to ask, yeah, 'Did you get up on the wrong side of the bed?' It's kind of funny and maybe helps them to not feel so bad mood and angry, right? Or you can also talk about yourself, yeah, 'I got up on the wrong side of the bed today.' I just am not having a good day. I'm very, very unhappy, okay? So, I hope that you don't get up on the wrong side of the bed tomorrow and I'll see you around next time!
