A Mom Song: “Let It Be”
“Let It Be” is one of the most popular songs in history.
Many of us remember some of its lines,
but few of us understand their true meanings.
In fact, Paul McCartney, the song writer,
wrote this song to remember his mother.
Paul McCartney had problems with math in his elementary school days.
Every time he looked worried,
his mother, Mary, always came to him and said, “Let it be.”
Mary wanted him not to worry about his trouble or take it hard.
She wanted him to face the music
and feel more comfortable about solving his problems.
Later, his mom died.
One night, he felt lonely and unhappy, and he had a dream.
In this dream, his mother came to him and said,
“It will be all right. Just let it be.”
These wise words brought him much peace.
Because of his mother, he wrote one of the best hits of all time.
