  • So, as soon as I open my binder

  • I have a few loose papers in this clear pocket

  • and they're probably things like

  • mind maps and small summaries that I made

  • when I was studying for my exams

  • um, these are just a few notes on the textbook I was reading at the time

  • and

  • these are just really quick mind maps with questions

  • um

  • and just

  • small study guides that I used when I was studying for my finals

  • and they were

  • and they really came in handy when I needed to just

  • jot down a few notes on

  • important things I needed to get done before my exams

  • And if I remember well these were mind maps

  • that summarize all of the information I needed to know

  • for my criminal law exam

  • and they were very ugly mind maps

  • and I was just using

  • a really plain

  • uh

  • yellow neon highlighter

  • but

  • they were good enough for me just to make sure that

  • that I was studying all of my chapters as I needed to

  • and I knew all the information I needed to know

  • So the first thing I have in here

  • is my labor law notes

  • and these are all notes that I was taking on my laptop

  • through my lectures

  • um, and this was the first semester where I

  • actually started to type my entire notes on my computer

  • So as you can see

  • there's a bit of a mess a color mess in here

  • because

  • I studied from these notes for different tests

  • different quizzes and my final exams

  • so

  • I always highlighted different things

  • throughout all the times I was studying for those different exams

  • and as you can see

  • I always have a few notes on the margins

  • and those yellow marks on the margins are actually things I need to remember

  • as definitions because

  • our final exam was mainly based on definitions

  • which was something that normally never happens in law school

  • so

  • I had a really tough time remembering all of those things

  • So I just marked them with yellow

  • so I remembered while I was studying that I

  • needed to know that by heart

  • A few of these pages are actually a mess because

  • I started to incorporate textbook notes in here

  • and

  • In the end of the semester I found out that

  • I was really missing some information

  • Uh, for some lectures that I wasn't able to attend

  • because I was sick

  • and sometimes information that I was missing

  • was more thorough than in others

  • and that's why I have that whole page that you've just seen

  • with

  • um

  • with regular notes

  • Uh, like I usually do with my textbooks

  • And now I have my discussion notes

  • Uh these are all discussion classes

  • where we needed to solve cases

  • and discuss case law

  • so

  • we didn't need to really study from here but

  • it's still nice to have those, uh, those notes when

  • in your binder so you can compare it with your

  • lecture notes

  • and just make sure to also

  • cover that material while you're studying for your finals

  • And this is the criminal law tab of my binder

  • which is very similar and I will just

  • cut off a part of my footage

  • so you don't have repeated footage

  • because all my notes are really identical

  • so

  • there's really nothing new to see here

  • just the same scheme

  • the same

  • um

  • format

  • I have a few mind maps though and that's why

  • I'm showing you this in a different angle

  • uh

  • things like abstract concepts

  • which are very common in criminal law

  • are very easy

  • to

  • um

  • I mean

  • you can understand them much better if you just

  • connect them with mind maps

  • because you understand how everything works together

  • without just relying on

  • extensive information

  • and

  • as you can see here

  • I think they're very handy because

  • they also summarize everything you learned throughout the semester

  • and

  • it's just something good to look at before you go to bed

  • or right before your exam so you

  • make sure that you know everything you need to know

  • These are also a few textbook notes that I made last minute

  • uh

  • and I tried to incorporate them with my

  • other typed notes and my mind maps

  • And as you can see what I like about

  • typed notes is that your binder

  • is just more

  • much more clean

  • If you compare it with with my

  • if you compare it with my last binder

  • to

  • from

  • 2015

  • um

  • everything is a lot neater

  • I understand where things are going

  • and

  • I mean

  • I'd really prefer it this way and I really don't

  • want to go back to handwritten notes

  • because I never

  • I can never keep up with this minimal look

  • when I'm handwriting my notes

  • And this is actually

  • um

  • another subject

  • which I didn't take any notes

  • basically

  • on my lectures

  • just the discussion notes which you are seeing right now

  • and this is not a really interesting section

  • of my binder because

  • I didn't work as hard as I wanted for this subject

  • so

  • as you can see it's pretty boring in here

  • Finally we have some constitutional law notes

  • and these are just syllabi

  • and an index for all the topics I needed to learn

  • for this subject

  • and they were provided by our teachers

  • and these are just plain lecture notes

  • and this was a very theoretical class

  • so

  • mainly we were learning

  • um

  • all of our content

  • in theoretical classes

  • and even our discussion was pretty much theoretical

  • These are lecture notes with few handwritten notes

  • um

  • some tables

  • and some questions

  • and in the back there's my discussion

  • and if you can't see

  • I don't know if you can see it

  • on screen

  • but

  • some of that is actually written in blue

  • and that's our

  • and those are my solutions for some cases

  • that we needed to solve in class and present

  • and I normally type that in blue so I can compare it

  • with my class solution

  • and this is just an article that I had in the back of my binder

  • and I kept it in there so I can consult it

  • further on

  • and

  • I'm not actually sure of what this is

  • I think these are just random notes that I kept in the back of my binder

  • if I ever needed to access them

  • but they didn't really fit anywhere

  • so I just clipped them in the back of my binder

  • And that is all!

  • I hope if you enjoyed this video

  • and that it wasn't too boring

  • and

  • please subscribe

  • and I'll see you next week

  • Bye!

So, as soon as I open my binder
