  • top 10 quidditch players part two

  • Hey guys!

  • Welcome back to top 10 nerd.

  • Today were returning to our top 10 harry potter quidditch players list with a part

  • two.

  • This time around, well be focusing on Quidditch players from hogwarts during Harry’s time

  • at the school.

  • While this list may seem a little biased on the Gryfinndor side, that’s mainly because

  • most of the information we do know about the Hogwarts Quidditch Cup and it’s teams in

  • the books are from the perspective of Harry, a Gryffindor.

  • But we tried to include someone with notable credentials from each house.

  • Let’s get into it.

  • 10 Draco Malfoy Starting off this list with everyone’s favourite

  • blonde haired Slytherin - maybe - Draco joined the Slytherin Quidditch team in his second

  • year, as a Seeker, replacing Terence Higgs.

  • When Draco joined, his father Lucious Malfoy bought the entire team new broomsticks, to

  • which Hermonie Granger commentedat least no one of the Gryffindor Team had to buy there

  • way in.”

  • Regardless of his financial benefits, Malfoy proved to be a good seeker for the team, despite

  • playing dirty from time to time, and was a constant solid adversary for Gryfinndor seeker,

  • Harry Potter.

  • 9 Marcus Flint Known for being an aggressive player with

  • quite the history of fouls.

  • Marcus Flint, a chaser, became the captain of the Slytherin team during is sixth year

  • at Hogwarts.

  • He’s also had a history of punishing players on his team when theyve done something

  • he considered stupid.

  • Ironic, considering he failed his last year at the school and had to do an eighth year,

  • where, you guessed it, he remained captain of the team again.

  • 8 Alicia Spinnet Giving us our first scarlet and gold player

  • on this list, Alicia Spinnet was on the Gryffindor team from the 1990-1991 school year to the

  • 1995-1996 school year.

  • Although she was only made a reserve the first year that she was on the team, she would soon

  • become one of their star Chasers, typically the Chaser who would take the penalty shots

  • when the opposing team committed a foul.

  • 7 Cho Chang Let’s take a look at one of Ravenclaw’s

  • memorable Quidditch player!

  • Cho Chang played for Ravenclaw between 1993 and 1997 as their Seeker.

  • Flying on a Comet Two Sixty, Cho first played for the team during her third year at Hogwarts,

  • and then had to unfortunate years after that in terms of Quidditch - 1994 was cancelled

  • due to the Triwizard Tournament, and the 1995-1996 school year had Umbridge disbanding all student

  • led clubs.

  • While the house teams were eventually allowed to re-band, they would eventually go on that

  • year to defeat Hufflepuff but lose to Gryffindor, losing the Quidditch Cup in the process.

  • And in 1996-1997 lost again to Gryffindor.

  • But hey, at least Cho was a solid challenge.

  • 6 Weasley Twins Combining both George and Fred into this number!

  • These two were beaters for the Gryfinndor team, joining in 1990, the year before the

  • trio arrived at Hogwarts.

  • And as weve seen many a time before, Fred and George function superbly as a pair.

  • The two played until their final year, 1995-1996.

  • The Weasleys come from a family of Quidditch players - a member of the family has held

  • every one of the positions on the team, actually - and their brother Charlie, captain of the

  • team and seeker, having won the cup back in the 1985-1986 school year.

  • 5 Ron Weasley INCLUDE WEASLEY IS OUR KING

  • https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J0n2Nn_lv4U Despite being quite nervous and insecure at

  • first, Ron really proved himself on the Quidditch pitch as Keeper and came through in a big

  • way for the Gryffindor team.

  • So much so that he’s largely responsible for Gryffindors Quidditch Cup win in both

  • the 1995-1996 school year, and again in the 1996-1997 school year.

  • While some of the nastier members of Slytherin may have created Weasley is Our King as a

  • mockery, it soon bit them in the ass when Ron gave Gryffindor a reason to transform

  • it into a cheer instead.

  • 4 Angelina Johnson Angelina took over as the Captain of the Gryfinndor

  • Quidditch team after Oliver Wood, who we featured in our last list, graduated from the school,

  • and the previous 1994 to 1995 year Quidditch was cancelled due to the Triwizard Tournament.

  • Anyway, Angelina was the captain from 1995-1996, having been on the team since 1990 alongside

  • the Weasley Twins.

  • And she had it pretty tough this year, despite inevitably winning the Quidditch Cup.

  • It was Ron’s first year as Keeper and he was crazy insecure, Fred and George had their

  • brooms confiscated after Malfoy provoked them after Slyterhins defeat against Gryffindor,

  • and Harry was all banned by Umbridge.

  • But Johnson and the team still prevailed.

  • 3 Cedric Diggory Cedric Diggory was immensely talented.

  • That is without a doubt.

  • While we lost him way too soon - and under horrible circumstances - his athleticism,

  • bravery and perseverance were very apparent during the short time we got to experience

  • his character.

  • Aside from being a fierce champion in the Triwizard Tournament, Cedric was also an exceptional

  • Quidditch player, playing as a Seeker, and was the captain of the team in 1993.

  • During the Gryffindor Hufflepuff match that year, Dementors appeared on the pitch, and

  • Cedric caught the snitch, but offered a rematch so that the teams could play under fair circumstances.

  • Oliver Wood declined feeling that Hufflepuff won fair and square.

  • 2 Harry Potter A bit of an obvious choice for this list,

  • all things considered, so it shouldn’t be much of a surprise that Harry made our top

  • 3.

  • You all likely know his Quidditch history - McGonagall recruited him to play for the

  • Gryffindor team in his first year, where he played as a seeker.

  • And caught his very first snitch - in his mouth.

  • He would go on to impress as a seeker for his remaining time at Hogwarts, and in his

  • sixth year, he was promoted to captain.

  • While he unfortunately missed the match that won the team the Quidditch Cup - and it was

  • Ginny and Ron Weasley who were the stars of the game - he at least got to end his Quidditch

  • career on a high note, since he did not return to Hogwarts for his 7th year.

  • 1 Ginny Weasley She had to step up when Harry was kicked off

  • the Quidditch team by Dolores Umbridge, becoming the Gryffindor seeker, and even catching the

  • snitch in her very first match, despite the team losing the game.

  • When Harry returned to the team the next year, she became a Chaser instead, and when Harry

  • got stuck in detention after using the sectum-sempra curse on Malfoy, she resumed the role of Seeker,

  • playing in the game that won Gryffindor the Quidditch Cup.

  • And the reason why she gets the top spot?

  • She went on to play for the Holyhead Harpies, the all female Quidditch team, and eventually

  • left to raise her three children with Harry.

  • But still kept involved in the Quidditch world, as the senior Quidditch correspondent for

  • the Daily Prophet.

  • There we go!

  • Whose your favourite player from this list?
