You know, I know your mom has a lot to do with it, everybody, your whole family. But you know everything about every animal, which I'm psyched about, because you brought some animals here tonight. -Yes, we did. Of course. We brought lots of really fun animals. I'm so excited. -Okay. Yeah. Okay. -All right. Here we go. So, this is our first animal of the night. This is the beautiful Vern. And Vern is a beaver. He's so cute. Down there, you've got a little sandwich that you can feed him. -Hi, Vern. Yeah. -He's so cute. He loves peanut-butter and jelly sandwiches. That's his favorite little treat. -Hi, Vern. -And watch his little hands. He'll grab it, and then he'll actually grab the little sandwich with his hands. How cute is that? He's gorgeous! So the beavers -- -And he eats -- The wild beavers, they eat peanut-butter and jelly sandwiches? -Yeah, that's their natural food source. -That's their natural food source, yeah. -But these guys build dams. That's kind of their specialty. They'll actually chew through trees with their teeth and, like, build dams. It's amazing. It's really incredible. -And let me see the tail. -Yeah, check out this tail. It's like a paddle. Isn't that incredible? -Now, is that just for smacking down the wood? -Well, no -- Well, this is actually -- If you want to grab another sandwich -- I think he's getting a little bit grumpy. -Oh, yeah, sure. Oh, he's groaning. -Yeah, so, what they do -- -Oh, hi. Can you hear him? -Oh, listen. He's so cute. So that actually kind of helps them swim. And they will do that sort of as a territorial thing. They'll slap it on the water. -Yeah. It's so cool. -I've never been, uh, this close to a -- to a beaver. -Yeah. He's really cool, isn't he? [ Laughter ] You're welcome to give him a little pat, if you'd like. [ Laughter ] I mean, I've seen them from afar. I've seen them from afar. -Yeah. -A good-enough distance, and, uh -- He's quite amazing. -Yeah. -Well, good to see you, Vern -Okay. Bye, Vern. Bye. Thank you! -All right, yeah. Bye, Vern. I love Vern. Oh, it's so cute. -Thank you, Vern. He's so cute, isn't he? -Yeah. All right. That was good. I loved that. That was fun. I loved that. That was fun. -So, next... -Yes. -This one, this is a really special animal. This is probably one of the cutest animals you'll ever see. -When you say that, that scares me because -- -Actually, she's very fluffy. Her name is Webster. She's a very cute, little, fluffy creature, and I'll get her out now. Okay, so, for this one, you've just got to be nice and slow and calm. So get ready. Okay. Come on. You're all right. -All right. Webster the fluffy animal. Here we go. Don't throw anything at me or anything. -Ooh. Here she is. So this is Webster! -I'm gonna freak out. I'm gonna freak out. -How awesome is she? She is so cute. So, Webster is a tarantula. -Yeah, yeah, absolutely. -She's a tarantula. How cool is she? Isn't she just beautiful? -Oh, man, she's, like, pointing -- Why is one of her, uh, things pointing at me? -Ohh. -That's the real deal. -So, what you want to do is put your hand out for a second. -I don't know. -You'll be fine. You'll be fine. Just put your hand out. -I don't know, man. -She's a beautiful animal. She really is. -You're gonna see me freak out, and poor Webster -- Webster's gonna go on a trip. Okay. Ready? So... What we're going to do is put her right there. [ Cheers and applause ] -Shh! -Good job! Good job! Look at that. So she's right now -- She's on your hand. Now, see those hairs there? They flick those as a defense mechanism. -It's warm. It's warm. The spider is warm. Aaah! Oh, my goodness! Get this thing out of here! -Okay. All right. -It's warm. It's freaking out. Right? -Aww. She loves you. -It's freaking out. -But see those hairs there? They'll spray them into your face. Like, it's amazing. They're really irritating. And they do that to predators. So, it's wild. -Yeah, well, I learned a lot, and maybe -- That's like -- I felt, like, a heat coming off that spider, and I'm really frightened by that. And she's pointing one of her legs at me. -Yeah. She's just waving hello. Yeah. She's just saying hi. -No, she's pointing me out like, "You're next," and I don't really like it at all. -All right. Here. We'll put little Webster away. -Thank you so much. -Isn't she gorgeous? -Yeah, yeah, yeah. -She's so cute. All right. -Thank you, buddy. [ Applause ] -Here you go, Webster. -All right. What else do we have? What's the name of the animal we're talking about next? 'Cause I can usually judge the cuteness. -All right, so, this next one, what I'm going to do with this one is, I actually want you to come around to the front of the desk for this one. So, we've got a special -- And this is Anka. And -- [ Laughs ] You're ready to go. -This is just my normal -- This is how I normally meet -- -Okay, so, this one -- What we'll do is we'll kneel down for a second. This is the cutest animal ever. No, it seriously is, though. It's very, very adorable. -Okay, all right. -All right. So, this is Anka. Come on out, Anka. Come on. Come on. [ Gasps ] There you go. Oh, so, this -- Hey! This is a little baby muntjac deer. Isn't she amazing? So you can give her, like, a little scratch on her neck. She absolutely loves it. Hey! And, so, the muntjac deer -- Oh, she's being a little bit playful at the moment. -It's tiny. -They're from Asia. Yeah. They're one of the smallest deer species in the world. She is just a little baby at the moment, though. -How tall will she get? -She's only get to about knee height. So she is quite -- quite short. But hear those little squeaks that she's making? She's real cute. It kind of sounds like a bat. She makes these really cute little squeaks, and that means she's just happy, saying hi. Hey! -Oh, my gosh. That is beautiful. Look how -- The tiny hooves on that thing. -Yeah, it looks like they're kind of walking on their tippy toes. -Yeah, it looks like a cartoon almost. Oh, my gosh. -Yeah. Hi. And these guys are actually omnivorous. So they eat plants and meat, so when they get older, they'll actually hunt down little animals to eat. Isn't that wild? -Yeah. -Hey. Bye, Anka. Thank you. -Bye, Anka. That was very cute. -Aww. How good is she? She's so cute. -All right. Now what do we do? -Okay. So, now I think we're going to move down onto the stage for this one. -Okay, that's good. -Go ahead. Here we go. So this -- -This is fantastic. -This is Tyler. -Oh, yeah! -And Tyler is a hyacinth macaw from the National Aviary. -Look at that bird. -Aren't they amazing? -So, these are actually the longest parrot in the world. They're huge. But you'll notice that coloration there, that blue coloration. -It's beautiful. -This bird is actually black. But the way the light reflects off the feathers, it appears blue. Isn't that amazing? -Is that one of those Internet things? Like, the black and gold? I see blue and yellow. But you're saying that bird is black? -It is, yeah. It's really cool. They're very intelligent, as well. They're about as intelligent as toddlers and definitely just as mischievous, too. They're so cool. -Oh, it's fantastic. -But if you'd like, we can actually head up into the audience and watch this amazing macaw fly. Does that sound good? -Yeah, of course. -What do you think? -Yeah, great. Let's do it. -All right. Let's go. [ Cheers and applause ] -You are the coolest. Thank you again. -Oh, no worries. Go ahead. -I love this. Oh, hey. Hi. How you doing? Nice to see you. -Nice to see you. -How are you? All right. So, what's going on? So now Tyler will fly to us? -Tyler is going to come right for us. -No one move, because this -- -Exactly. -This bird attacks people, as well. I mean, especially -- She loves long hair. -This is funny. This is the only animal that hated Dad. They always attacked Dad whenever they saw him. Oh, my goodness. Look at this. -How good is that! -Oh, my gosh. -Isn't that incredible watching them fly? [ Cheers and applause ] -That was fantastic. Great job, Tyler! -Good job, mate. -Great job, Tyler. I'm still saying she's blue. You guys, Robert Irwin right there. Give it up for Robert. [ Cheers and applause ] As always, we love you. Thank you so much. And thank you for helping, as well.
