Hello, I'm Tessereq!

Today I'll be talking about vocabulary related to winter

Welcome back to Crown's daily English vocabulary series~

Today's very special because we've got a special guest～Tessereq

You sure have noticed that today's setting is really special

That's right, we're filming in YouTube Pop-Up Space Taipei's Winter Wonderland

Thanks YouTube for bringing Pop-Up Space to Taipei,

which enables YouTubers to cooperate and shoot films together.

Tessereq is actually a YouTuber who speaks English really well

So we'll be teaching you guys some English vocabulary together.

Don't forget to turn on the English or Chinese subtitles if needed.

Describing the weather according to

the degree of coldness

weather that's cold but stimulating

mildly cold, causing shivering

cold that is kinda uncomfortable

and goes into your bones

when it's so cold that frost are being produced

frost is a kind of small ice particle

and when it's frosty, you might get frostbite

it's kind of a kind of injury

you get when the weather is too cold

Next up we have, snow!

it's the small, feathery masses that becomes snow

In Frozen, the snowman is called Olaf

And in Game of Thrones Jon Snow, he knows nothing

And what brings a lot of Snow?

a storm that brings strong wind and a lot of snow

In a blizzard, you would want to wear a

protective gear to avoid getting frostbite

Such as earmuffs 保暖耳罩

a pair of coverings to protect you during cold weather

But some people would prefer staying at home

And use the fireplace 壁爐 to keep themselves warm

But all the smoke generated by the fireplace

has to go somewhere, right?

They go through a chimney 煙囪

a vertical structure that

carries out smoke from the house,

which is also where Santa Claus climbs in

And what does Santa Claus ride on?

a small platform like vehicle to travel through ice and snow

and it will be pulled by reindeers 麋鹿

a large kind of deer that has branched horns

Those are the vocabulary for today
