It's a mold with an identity crisis, because it's not a mold,

I first came across the slime mold about five years ago.

A microbiologist friend of mine

Slime mold grows at about one centimeter an hour,

I could observe some really interesting behaviors.

It joined together and formed a mass cell.

The conclusion from their experiment
