Subtitles section Play video Print subtitles When you're rapping to a beat, it can be very difficult if you don't have rhythm. So, sometimes you have to make sure when you're starting to rap to a beat that you can find what musicians call the snare. The snare is usually the thing that sounds like a clap. And the snare usually lands on the two or the four, meaning one, two, three, four. One, two, three, four. One, two, three, four. So, when you're writing your song or you're rapping to the beat, you want to land on the four. One, two, three, four. "My name is Chris / and I'm from Brooklyn / I own the top / It can never be tooken" You notice that I landed on the four, right? So, any time you're rapping to a beat, the key is to focus on the second snare. If you focus on the second snare, you'll always be rapping to the beat. And that's how you do it.
