Hi there, this is Mark from MarkTeacher.com with another high band IELTS
speaking question and answer. This IELTS question is all about emails. Nowadays, do
people prefer to write emails or letters? I think the vast majority prefer emails
for obvious reasons. They're faster, cheaper, easier, you can send an email or
send a message just from your smartphone while you're on a train or you don't
even have to be in your home to send a message to somebody. That said, I think
because emails have become so convenient and so easy to produce, handwritten
letters have become much more meaningful. It takes a lot of energy and patience
and time to sit down pick up a pen and write a letter. If you make a mistake, you
can't just delete your words and I think when people receive a handwritten letter
it's quite touching because they realize someone sat down and spent the time and
effort to send them a message to - to communicate with them. So even though
emails are probably more popular, I think handwritten letters are much
more significant and powerful. Want more? Check out MarkTeacher.com for more
