I'm Max Dalton, and in this video I'm going to talk through how to change your Steam email

address.

There are a variety of reasons you may want to change the email address associated with

your Steam account.

Maybe the email address associated with your account was hacked.

Maybe your shutting that email account down.

Or, maybe you just don't check email in that account often.

Regardless of the reason, Steam makes it easy to change the email address associated with

your account, and the whole process can be done in a few minutes.

And now, the steps to change your Steam email address.

Step 1.

Launch the Steam app on your computer, and log in to your account if prompted.

Your Steam home screen opens.

Step 2.

Click the name of your Steam profile in the upper right corner of the screen.

A drop-down menu appears.

Step 3.

Click "Account Details."

Your account details screen appears.

Step 4.

Click "Change My Email Address" in the Contact Info part of the account details screen.

A Steam Support screen appears, asking if you want to initiate the process to change

the email address associated with your Steam account using a verification code sent to

the email address of the email account currently associated with your account.

If you no longer have access to that email account, you can choose that option, where

you'll be asked to supply the current password for your account before proceeding.

For the sake of this example, I'll have the verification code sent to my email account

by clicking "Email an account verification code."

A message stating that a verification code was sent to your current email account appears.

Step 5.

Check your email for the email from Steam to retrieve the verification code.

Enter the verification code in the field on the Steam Support screen prompting you for

the code, and then click "Continue."

The Change Email Address screen appears.

Step 6.

Enter the new email address you want to associate with your Steam account in the Enter Your

New Email Address field, and then click "Change Email."

A new field immediately appears beneath the field where you entered your new email address,

prompting you to enter the verification code that was sent to your new email address.

Retrieve the code from your email, enter it in that field, and then click "Confirm Email

Change."

You'll be returned to your Steam account details screen, where you can confirm that your email

is changed in the Contact Info section.
