As you all know, Jiangjun District is also named as 大家知道 將軍區也被稱為

the quilt cave. 棉被窟

How are quilt made? 究竟棉被是怎麼製作的呢？

After I came to Jiangjun, 來到將軍才發現

I found that there are few cotton fields here actually, 這裡的棉花田並不多

but there are quite a few quilt factories. 倒是有許多的棉被工廠

It turns out that Jiangjun was a distribution center of cotton, 原來這裡是棉花的集散地

and it's also called the quilt cave. 也稱「棉被窟」

In fact, Jiangjun District isn't a place where they used to plant cotton. 事實上 將軍區一開始並沒有種植棉花

However, quilts, or comforters do come from Jiangjun District. 不過 這裡確實有出產棉被

Now, in order to emphasize that this district 為了強調將軍區

is mainly the home to quilts and comforters, 是棉被的故鄉

residents started to plant cotton so that people would 當地居民開始種植棉花 這樣人們

directly think of Jiangjun District when they think of quilts. 想到棉被的時候 就會聯想到將軍區

The cotton field is so special. 這一片棉花田真的好特別

The soft cotton actually popped out from the seeds of plants. 軟綿綿的棉花是從果實冒出來的

One thing I find really interesting is that 我發現一件很有趣的事情

cotton grows from the ground, 棉花是從土裡長出來的

just like other vegetables or fruits that we eat. 就和我們平常吃的蔬菜水果一樣

And I find it really cool because these four halves of the cotton 而且很酷的是 棉花的四瓣

popped out from a little green, round seed. 其實是從一粒小小的綠色種子裡冒出來的

Now, they are in four halves. 種子裂開後的棉花呈現四瓣

This is something I find really cool. 真的是非常酷呢

In this district, in the past, 將軍區在過去

almost every family made quilts, or comforters. 幾乎家家戶戶都會製作棉被

Nowadays, there are still 15 families, 現在還有15戶家庭

or 15 companies that are still making quilts. 或是可以說15間公司還在製作棉被

It shows that the quilt industry 由此可見，棉被產業

is still very important here in Jiangjun District. 在將軍區仍然非常重要

After we've seen all the cotton fields, 看完棉花田後

we're now here at the factory. 我們現在來到棉被工廠

And I got this little privilege 今天很幸運

to make my own comforter on my own. 可以嘗試製作自己的棉被

It's hard to see traditional making process of a quilt. 傳統的棉被製作過程非常少見

The making process 一件手工棉被

to filling the cotton into the quilt, 到鋪棉

Now, I'm about to make my own little baby. 現在 我就要來做自己的棉被囉！

First of all, spread the cotton, 首先先鋪棉花

and then turn the cloth over 再來將布反過來

to keep the cotton inside. 把棉花包起來

I never knew this could also be used in making a little comforter. 我從來不知道棍子也可以拿來用在棉被製作上

I thought this was for hitting kids who are not behaving well. 印象中都是拿來打不乖的小孩的

Is this good? 這樣可以嗎？

It's good. 可以

Are the cotton flattened enough? 夠平整嗎？

It's good enough. 這樣好

Now, I'm tying the knots from the string we just sewed into it. 現在我要把剛剛縫棉被的線打結

This is kind of difficult for me. 真的是非常困難

This is like the first time that I've ever done things like that, 這大概是我第一次做這種事

but it's super cool. 但是真的超酷的

Now, we are put this comforter into the cover. 現在我們要把棉被放進被單裡囉

This is my little baby! 這是我的小寶貝！

I love it so much! 我超喜歡它的！
