[Now Shake to This] This H-dub, Harlem World, No Bones. Original of the Harlem Shaker Its is your boy D-Cole. a.k.a the 'Thank You Man' Thank You! My name is Motion, From the 'Go Crazy Boys', Original Harlem Shakers. Everybody knows me from dancing. Hello my name is Violet. From Spanish Harlem. My name is Jesse, other known as a.k.a. 'Smiley', my dance name. We created a dance called the Harlem Shake. The Harlem Shake craze was originated in the early 80's by a guy named Al B. Cisco, who was a dancer up at the Rucker Park. Al B rest in peace, he passed away a couple of years ago. He was an old school dancer, we used to love the way he danced, and his style. And so we incorporated our Harlem Shake style with his dance style. This is something they would do in the streets, in parties, in jams, and it was safe. You never heard of any beef, any problems. Its been big for a lot of years now, and its back big you know, thanks to the guys who were doing that stupid humping and all that crazy stuff. And now it has millions and millions of views, and now everyone want to see, where did the Harlem Shake came from? You know what I mean. This Harlem Shake thing just went viral, all through the internet. They representing wrong. Like in Harlem, when people dance, we take it serious. Its from the soul, the essence. It shows character, it shows energy, it shows happiness, it shows people coming together. So we out here, we really showing you how to do the Harlem Shake. The dance is all about soul, its about your spirit, its about funky, get funky like soul train. Its like a good movement, you got to be a good spirit. Its about being on beat. Its not a dance, its a movement. I can dance, I can do a move and step on the wall and fall asleep. Everything, its about character acting. I can fall on the floor, I get up, I hold my back, he's the old man, know I'm the old man, I mean then I can do this, I'm chicken fingers now. Freedom of expression. Keeping rhythm to the beat. Staying on the beat. Staying on the rhythm. And we call it the go crazy. Utilizing different things around you. At the end of the day, its a collaboration of many. That will be able to express what they felt in the center of a dance. So every weekend, I had, I brought all the kids together, from every borough. Come dance. You got a problem with somebody, you dance it out. You know what I'm saying? You don't got to fight it out. You come to an event and you release that. We want kids to be on a postive route. That's our mission right now. What we doing. Trying to achieve that. So we trying to have a lot of kids come into centers or we dancing in the park, wherever we dancing at, we trying to have a good time, and have positive feedback. We're just using whatever recognition we got, to be able to reach the youth, to make them feel like they are apart of something bigger than themselves. So they can feel like 'yo I am somebody'. Its a feeling. The right song, the right vibe, the right attitude, or just the right waking up feeling good...anybody can do the Harlem Shake, you don't have to be from Harlem [wik, wik, mic] Voice of Harlem coming to you live, Harlem.
