I'm just a kid, but here's a few things that I know for sure! Fact! More than 2 billion people use the internet. Fact! The internet can be used for good or evil! Fact! 150 million people post pictures of food and stuff on Instagram. Fact! Right now somebody's supposed to be doing something very important, but instead they're playing Candy Crush. [imitates game sounds] Everyday people spend 600,000 dollars on Candy Crush! Fact! There are 350 million photos uploaded to Facebook every day. Tons of them are selflies! [camera sound] Ding dong! Gotta take a picture of my self! Kid President! Ding dong! Selfie Overload While I'm at it, stop saying "selfies!" That's an opinion, not a fact. Ding dong! Fact! 14 million of you follow Miley Cyrus on Twitter. On purpose. 14 million humans. Which leaves me with some questions. How are we using the Internet? How are you using the Internet? And what does the fox say? "What noise would the animal like the fox make if it made a noise" I like that song! That is a fact! Over 60 million people watch that! 60 million! What are we doing with the Internet, people? I think it's time that we did something awesome! That's why I'm declaring this month of October, Socktober! Every single night in the United States nearly 600,000 people are homeless. Some of them are even kids. We want to activate 1 million people to help the homeless in their neighborhoods. And here's how. Step One: Start with a new sock drive! Do something to help the homeless in your neighborhood. We're encouraging people to start with socks! But don't stop there, gather up other basic needs your local shelter might need as they prepare for winter. Get everybody involved! Your schools! Socktober! Your businesses! Socktober! Your families! Socktober! Step Two: Share how you're helping the homeless! #Socktober Step Three: We wanna build a special place for homeless women in Little Rock, Arkansas. It's really cool because the land already been donated, they just need a $160,000 dollars to build it! [music] We're all gonna come together and do something huge! A quote, "We can't stop. We won't stop." "...Can't you see it's wee who own the night?" "...Can't you see it's we who 'bout that life?" Get this out of here! Brad! Give me the script! Sorry everybody, this is the quote! A quote, "We won't stop." President Truman, I think. This is the same thing! I'm sorry everybody! I'm doing the best I can. I guess what I'm trying to say is this, let's take back the Internet and do something GREAT! I think Socktober is gonna give the world a reason to dance! [dance break] The time to be awesome is now! One month. One million people. All helping the homeless. Sounds awesome to me! Why do people think, "Oh let's just look on Instagram and see what we can eat on it!" I love my socks! My Socks! [laughs] Like it doesn't make any sense! Why would people take pictures of food if you can't even eat it there. Oh they think, "Oh we can just eat it off the phone, let's do that. Let's just do what babies do, eat phones and [pacifiers]" I'm the man! Who are the man? I'm the man! Who are the man? I'm the man! [laughs] "Rawr" Socktober! Let's take back the Internet and do something great!
