  • trap. Okay. Let's take a look the note here. A death trap can refer to a place or

  • vehicle that is in such bad condition one fears that it could collapse , cause

  • an accident or somehow lead to one's death. Okay. Let's take a look. That's what we mean.

  • by death trap. You feel like you might get trapped inside of it, and that could

  • somehow cause you to die. So let's look at example number one. That building

  • would not pass any Fire Department inspections. All their emergency exits

  • are blocked. If a fire ever broke out. Remember if it breaks out it means suddenly

  • start. You would be in serious trouble. I wouldn't want to live there. It looks

  • like a real death trap. All right. This is a perfect example. We often say

  • someplace or possibly like they say possibly a vehicle , it could be a death trap.

  • All right and let's look at number two. Number two is about a vehicle. Jack

  • should bring that car to a junkyard. It is in such bad condition. I wouldn't be

  • surprised if the engine caught on fire or the brakes stopped working while

  • riding in it. You are taking your life in your hands. Meaning you're taking a

  • chance with your life. You're risking your life. If he gives you a ride

  • it is a real death trap. Okay, good. So these two are very good examples for
