  • DOG INSTRUCTOR: At my live event in downtown San Diego,

  • I have my hands full with Romey, who's attacking everybody.

  • So he's nervous.

  • Oh, no.

  • [laughter]

  • This is not nervousness. [dog growls]

  • Shh!

  • [dog growls meanly]

  • Grab him and pass it to me.

  • Pass him to you?

  • DOG INSTRUCTOR: Yeah.

  • [dog snarls]

  • - Are you sure? - Yeah.

  • OK. [dog snarls aggressively]

  • Ah! [scream]

  • Oh, my god.

  • [dog yelps and snarls]

  • There we go.

  • That's all right.

  • [applause]

  • Same arms. Right here.

  • Right there. My baby.

  • No problem.

  • That's a perfectly good reason why my dad is who he is.

  • Because I had no intentions of touching that dog.

  • With her, by her feeling so emotional,

  • it makes them feel protected.

  • What I'm doing is just I'm just staying calm.

  • Come here.

  • Yeah.

  • [laughter]

  • Here.

  • Right there.

  • How you doing? - Good.

  • How are you?

  • Right? [applause]

  • Good boy, Romey.

  • So.

  • [applause]

  • The problem here is not the dog.

  • It's just the energy who's holding that tells him I need

  • to protect, because my human is tense,

  • or is nervous, or is anxious.

  • What do you do for a living?

  • Executive assistant.

  • Executive assistant.

  • Can you take, like, the executive position here?

  • [laughs nervously] Yes. [laughs]

  • Yes. Yeah.

  • See, executive assistant means you're following.

  • But if you're at executive, that means you're leading.

  • I'm the CEO.

  • There you go.

  • [laughter]

  • That's right. All right.

  • - OK. - Executive.

  • Yes.

  • Poom!

  • Hi, Todd, how are you?

  • How's it going? Good to see you.

  • Good to see you, too. [dog makes low growl]

  • - Yeah, nice to see you. - There we go.

  • Was this better? - Better?

  • But he still growled.

  • Well, you're learning.

  • It's not him.

  • [laughter] [inaudible]

  • He still did it.

  • But you're still nervous.

  • What do you want me to do?

  • So we already know the dog can do it.

  • OK.

  • Now you have a past experience.

  • Right.

  • So right?

  • So you need to live in the moment

  • and forget about the past.

  • One more time.

  • [inhales sharply] [exhales] Don't forget to breathe.

  • Breathe. Yeah.

  • Yeah. - OK.

  • Yeah.

  • Yeah. - Hey.

  • - Hey, Todd. - How are you?

  • Good to see. - Good.

  • Nice to see you.

  • [applause]

  • Thank you.

  • Thank you.

  • Thank you.
