So I'd have to say big Pete. I'd go left-back, I don't even think there's an argument - Ashley Cole. I think, for me, the best left-back of all time, personally. I feel he doesn't get the credit really that he deserves, for what he's done for the game. He was the point of attack when I was with Chelsea, at Arsenal he was top-class, part of The Invincibles. Won I think the record amount of FA Cups, won the Champions League, won the Premier League. In Team GB we played against Brazil, Thiago Silva was good. It was about who's the smartest, can we outsmart each other? And I think he was good that day. Caused him some problems of course. But that's not the point. Vincent Kompany. Great man off the park, on the pitch he's a leader. Very strong, quick. Can pass the ball very well. If you think about what you want a defender to be, you'd probably look at him and how he plays the game. It's hard to probably look past JT, to be fair. What you've achieved in the game, what you've done, how long you've led a club to success. He's won everything with Chelsea, every single thing possible. Midfield... Stevie's got to go in there obviously. Had the pleasure of playing with him for a few seasons. He's a striker's dream, someone who could pick a pass out from, you know, from 40, 50 yards onto your toe. Like, you don't even have to break stride. I'd probably put Pirlo in there. We played against him in the World Cup towards the end of his career. And I can only imagine what he was like in his prime. Some of the passes he was doing was out of this world. I'm dead serious, it was out of this world what he was doing. I look at midfielders and think, "What could they do for me as a player? "If I was playing with them, why would I enjoy playing with this person?" And as I said, some of the passes he was doing was a joke, and I was thinking, "I'd probably score a lot of goals if I was playing with him." Even though he's an ex-United player, you've got to put Ronaldo in there. All bias aside. I've got to keep it real too, obviously there's probably a lot of Liverpool fans out there thinking, "Really, Daniel? "You're gonna put a United player in there?" You have to respect someone's abilities and what they've done for the game, for the culture, and he's done a lot for football. Broke barriers and things like that. Of course you've got to put Messi in there as well for the same reasons. Again, done some great things in the game, outrageous stuff, the pair of them, to be fair, so both of them have to make the cut. It's only right. Growing up I was an Arsenal fan, and Anelka was my favourite striker at the time, so I've got an affinity to him, not only as a footballer but as a man. I feel he helped me out a lot, gave me a lot of advice. I love the way he plays the game, he's just so elegant on the pitch, the way he ran, the way he passed the ball, the way he used to chop defenders, which was something that I took from him. He's probably the best player I've seen at faking to shoot to create himself a yard, which in the box is everything for a striker, really, you have to create yourself a yard. He could run past people and score goals, he could create goals, he could do everything. I think Didier was ridiculous. I can't lie - as targetmen go, he was unstoppable, to be fair. I think he scored in every single final he played in, and you can't look past a man if, on the biggest stage possible... That's why I say, for me, it's a difficult one, but I learnt a lot from both those centre-forwards, Didier and Anelka, because they both helped me to become a better player when I was at Chelsea. That's why I'd have to put them two in. The midfielders, I've got two great passers of the ball. I know my four strikers probably aren't going to defend, so in a 4-2-4 formation I think we'd probably lose!
