- This is scary amazing, it's like, wow.
[upbeat island pop music]
Hi Vogue, it's Alessandra here and we're in New York
and we're gonna be spending the whole day together.
I have a new wax figure
that we're gonna be revealing at Madame Tussauds.
And my son is in town,
so I'll be doing some fun things with him and you guys.
All right, so we're getting hair and makeup done.
Carolina Gonzalez doing my makeup.
She knows me since I was 17, I guess.
Since I moved to New York, a long time ago.
Then for hair, super simple,
Dominick Pucciarello, my hairdresser, my friend.
[laughing]
He's my neighbor and I know him forever too.
[laughing]
If you weren't here,
I'll just put it in a bun, - Yeah, yeah.
- I would just dry my hair and put it in a bun.
- Yeah, topknot and it'd be a mess.
- I need a lot of help. [laughing]
- [Dominick] Can I open the window though?
- Yeah of course. - Yeah that's okay?
- Yeah open the window please now.
[laughing]
How's the weather?
- The weather outside-- [both laughing]
[soft electronic hiphop music]
- Today my son is here with me, Noah,
and he's seven years old.
He's been asking to come here to New York with me
'cause he hasn't been in a while.
I feel like the last time he was here he was super young
so he didn't get to enjoy much.
After Madame Tussauds we're gonna go to
the slime museum and after that
his big request was, we couldn't leave New York
without going to the Sugar Factory.
You know. [laughing]
I need a lot of energy, right?
Yeah, yeah, give me the pot of coffee.
[laughing]
Woop!
[knocking on door]
[chattering in background]
- I'm starving! - You're starving?
Go eat, go eat, I know you're starving.
[laughing]
- [Man] There's chocolate milk there
and if you want there's English muffins there.
[soft electronic pop music]
[chattering in background]
- What's that?
Is that an Oscar?
[gasping] Oh my God, look at you!
You didn't even have to do acting
and you got your Noah Pheonix and bronzer.
- Yay!
- That's yours. [laughing]
- Who got me these gifts? - Another package for me.
Madame Tussauds, the museum you know,
that mommy is gonna have the wax figure today.
So they got us this gift.
Yeah, we're gonna see them soon.
Okay, so eat your food, I'm gonna get ready.
[upbeat jazz music]
Okay, here's the final look
and we're running a bit late so,
we gotta go, let's go!
- This is my look!
- Woo, you look adorable!
[laughing]
[upbeat electronic hiphop music]
What's fun about the museum here in New York
is that they have this fashion experience
so, you get to interact.
I did all this like fun videos
you know, that I'm teaching people
you know, like how to walk on the runway.
I think the number one tip to walk
on the runway is confidence.
Everyone has a different walk,
I think good posture, it's always good, it helps.
But confidence is the main one.
[speaking in foreign language]
[chattering in the background]
- [Greeter] Hi, nice to meet you.
- This is so funny. [laughing]
[cameras clicking]
[crowd cheering]
Tres, dos, un, woo!
[crowd cheering]
This is scary, amazing!
It's like, wow.
Hello Alessandra.
It's so funny, it's so intense that look she gives.
[laughing]
To be part of this is a big honor,
thank you so much.
[upbeat electronic pop music]
Look at you!
Yeah!
[crowd cheering]
- Yeah it looks like my mom.
Kind of. - Does it look pretty?
- No, not as pretty as you.
- No? - You're better.
- Thank you guys!
[chattering in the background]
Now we're gonna go do something super fun.
- Yeah slime factory!
- Yes!
It's really important for me to spend
some quality time with the kids
and share a little bit of my life with them.
I'm from a small town in Brazil
called Nettesheim, you know I never
actually been to an airplane thing
until I was like 15, that was my first airplane ride.
So you know, it's very different than my kids
get to grow up and get to see the world
experience so many different cultures
at such a young age.
What's going on there?
- My tooth is wiggly.
- Let me see, let me see.
Wow, it is, but don't touch it, it's gonna bleed.
[upbeat hiphop electronic music]
- We're here. - The slime factory.
- Look how much glue there is.
- Yeah.
You gotta wait for mommy.
See that's what happens, you lose your kids the
minute you get into do something fun.
They run away.
[laughing]
- So this is an icy so, it's kind of like Italian ice.
- Wow.
It smells so good.
So good, right?
I usually watch them making slime at home
maybe about like a year ago they started
making it inside the house
and they made a mess like in every rug so,
they have, oh my God exactly, see what happens
they make a mess everywhere.
No, she said don't throw it.
Otherwise we gotta leave.
[upbeat electronic po music] Bubblegum.
Ah, no you have no feet!
Uh-oh!
Ahh! [laughing]
So we did a lot of fun things here
at the slime museum
and now we're gonna go to Sugar Factory.
Kids favorite spot in New York.
[upbeat hiphop music]
Oh my God.
Gonna have a sugar coma right now.
- [Noah] Oh my gosh look at this.
Excuse me. - Yes sir.
- Could you make this like for one person?
[laughing]
- [Waiter] Of course, we brought you one of these for now.
[liquid pouring]
Yeah look at that thing go!
- Magical! - Magic.
- Today's a very special day 'cause I'm here on vacation
with Noah having some time off.
I do let my kids have sweets,
sometimes, you know not super strict.
As long as they eat healthy
and we eat a lot of like Brazilian food,
you know, black beans, rice, veggies
but for special occasions like this
we're gonna splurge on the sweets a little bit.
[laughing]
How is it Noah?
[upbeat electronic pop music]
Wow, look it.
- [Waiter] we got the rainbow sliders here.
- [Noah] Are they glued? [laughing]
- Okay now we're gonna close your eyes
'cause we have a surprise coming for you, all right!
Open!
A tie dye milkshake!
Ahh, [laughing] oh my!
[camera clicking] - Awesome.
- Mom, we had a really fun day.
- You had fun?
- Kind of.
- Yes?
We have a lot of work to do here
as you can see, thank you for coming with us today
and I'll see you guys later.
Bye Vogue!
[blowing kiss]
[speaking in foreign language]
Ah, that's a sweet kiss.
Bye guys!
