  • All right, let's talk about Steph Curry.

  • He appeared at TechCrunch.

  • Disrupt San Francisco event provided some insight on how much longer he wants to play in the n B a.

  • Take a listen right now, obviously been in the n.

  • B.

  • A.

  • This is a very short period of my of my life.

  • And so, from 21 to hopefully I can play for like, another six years.

  • And then you think about what you want to do the rest of your life, and we're hopefully setting up the groundwork in the framework for, um, you know, success in this space and doing it our way and really enjoying the ride.

  • All right, so let's take a look at this at his current pace.

  • Steph would shatter Ray Allen's career three point record by 1000 three's if he just keeps doing what he's doing for six more seasons.

  • Scotty, that's remarkable.

  • First of all, do you think we'll ever see another Steph Curry?

  • Or that this is just a one off?

  • I think this is truly a one off.

  • Unless he can force is selling to go for his, his record is going to help the d N A to be able to even think about trying to capture this.

  • It's amazing.

  • I mean, you look at how this kid shoots the ball from behind the three point line.

  • He shoots it like it's a layup.

  • There's there's no restriction.

  • He's he's been been a game changer.

  • I mean, you look at his threes attempts compared to Ray Allen on reality problems.

  • Getting 3 to 5, a game where stuff is probably getting 10 to 15 game.

  • So I don't see any players in the league that can really change this landscape unless him and Clay get on separate teams.

  • That ain't gonna happen, eh?

  • He's changed a game forever.

  • There's never gonna be another player just like him.

  • A lot of guys will try to be like him.

  • There is only one step, and he is altered not only the course of MBA history, but when you watch college and high school study and and you've been in a lot of Jim's the last few years, kids all over the place are shooting it from 30 feet trying to be like Steph, and that's where you see it.

  • A lot of NBA teams, the structure of their offense has changed because of the Warriors.

  • Success led by step.

  • When you look at guys five and 10 years away from potentially playing, that's where you see the shift because kids now don't want to go to the rim.

  • They want to shoot from the outside.

  • They want to be cool, just like this guy.

  • And we started right with the like, Who's the next?

  • Steph Curry and Trey Young kind of had to deal with that both in college and a little bit when he came into the league.

  • But I like that is a lead, and his fans, at least we've gotten a little bit better about not forcing someone to feel that pressure.

  • Remember that thousands of players who were the next Jordan you know, the whole beauty of these players trying to be copycats and even from Jordan is like they're shooting percentage.

  • Yes, what's more amazing when you look at all these threes that stuff a shooting, his shooting percentage is still high.

  • You look at Michael Jordan's shooting, he still shot out a very high percentage.

  • Yep, absolutely so I want hopefully the kids who are coming up that you talk about Nick who are trying to be influenced by Steph don't have to quote be the next step because to Scottie's point, they're only really is one next deaf.

  • And that might feed the little Baby Curry, who is still, I think he's at less than one year old.

  • Well, see, he's got a little bit of time.
