  • Hello, everyone.

  • And welcome to another video.

  • Now, a few videos back, I purchased an FX 95 90 PC that had a terrible power supply.

  • A broken graphics card, andan unsuitable liquid cooler inside.

  • I wanted to test it out, but I ultimately bottled it last minute as the motherboard couldn't handle this thirsty five gigahertz beast.

  • Since then, I've used the system on enough, essentially threatening my house with an imminent your untimely fire on Dhe purchased one of these the radio on our X 5700 because I wanted to explore the 95 90 is potential in 2019 have also spruced up the outside studio with some flowers.

  • Talk about splashing out.

  • Anyway, I called up a friend, took my shiny new Rx 5700 and 95 90 round to his place and gave it one last go because this old beast is certainly deserving off a place in the PC Hardware Hall of Fame, whether that's so good or bad thing.

  • A 4.7 gigahertz with a turbo speed of five.

  • This was a chip designed for bragging rights.

  • AMG could waive their fire extinguishers in the face of Intel knowing they had hit five gigahertz first.

  • But in reality, this chip was just so unstable.

  • It's pointless in 2019 just as it was in 2013.

  • It requires a top end game three plus board with Tripp or still expensive Onda decent calling set up to guarantee stability, that is, during gaming in general usage, though it ran fine, using the 9 70 board under course at H 55 that I originally found this machine with.

  • While we're on the subject of that, it does offer decent enough performance for those casual tasks and for video editing.

  • It still does a great job, too.

  • I edited in rendered this entire video with it, and everything felt just a smooth as it does on a modern rise in three, which I brought up because even something from that range would make more sense today.

  • To be honest, the Cinnamon Char 15 multicourse score puts it just above arrives in 5 1400 scoring 734 points.

  • But the single threaded performance sees its score less than both the first Gen 1400 and the third Gen 3200 g.

  • If 10 80 p 60 F.

  • P s gaming is your intention, though.

  • Well, rest assured that the 95 90 still packs a satisfactory punch.

  • I started with dirt Rally two point.

  • Oh, now, last year, my friend broke his leg and the day after, he gave me a lift home.

  • Why is this relevant?

  • You may ask.

  • Well, my driving here sort of reminds me of that situation.

  • See, this wasn't an automatic car either.

  • This was a manual car or a stick shift.

  • If you're American at home on the yet, what you're seeing on screen here was so off how we were driving down the et tu half past 11.

  • Never mind, though, because we're here to talk about the performance off the 95 19 in dirt Ready 2.0, you will see 60 frames per second, at least with this CPU on dhe any mid range or high end graphics card.

  • Even with the ultra settings, as I'm using here, we also saw very nice results in Battlefield five, where the frame rate really dropped below 60 f.

  • P s.

  • Even with the ultra settings enabled, once again, I played through the introductory level here at 10.

  • 80 p, of course, on the 95 90 along with the Rx 5700 had no trouble in running this game, which is a little more CPU intensive.

  • If I'm being honest here, that's usually the case with battlefield games.

  • So I found in that case, I think the 95 90 did a good job off maintaining solid frame rates.

  • Now, the only title where we really saw a lot of problems was far cry New Dawn that this generally runs quite well on many CP use and GP use a light.

  • But here there was something about the 95 90 that it clearly didn't like because I tried it with another CPU on this jeep for you and things were running just fine, so I can only put it down to the process itself.

  • The, which are three ultra with both the post processing and the graphics options set to maximum, gave us a nice frame.

  • Maria's well here.

  • We were just messing around in Novi Grad with some guards on DDE.

  • Whilst there were a few frames dips here and there.

  • It was nothing too major, and you'll have a great time with this chip If, for whatever reason you decided to purchase one and a card like this, this is, ah, horrible combination.

  • By the way, it's not really ideal, But just know that the 95 90 I can still hold its own fairly well.

  • And if you can over Crockett a little bit, then even better, though, you're going to need some serious calling for that sort of stuff.

  • Finally, we have Hitman two, which is clearly more GPU intensive, that something to bear in mind as well.

  • If a game relies heavily on the graphics card as opposed to the process, another example of that is just calls for.

  • Then you'll likely see even better frame rates in those situations.

  • I think it still holds up very well, but as I said at the start of the video, it just doesn't make too much sense.

  • Purchasing one.

  • You'd be better off buying a 83 50 or 83 70 because you'll see very similar results in games without the need to go out and purchase a high end motherboard or high and cooler to accommodate this thing during load.

  • With all that sudden down there, well, it's certainly deserving of a place in the hardware hall of Fame.

  • Should one of those exist Onda?

  • Yeah, I've had a pretty good time with it.

  • We don't really need to talk about this chip for much longer.

  • It is what it is.

  • It's a hot, power hungry beast and it always has been.

  • So that's that lever, like on this video.

  • If you enjoyed it, leave it.

  • It's like if you didn't subscribe to the channel, if you haven't done so already and hopefully I'll see you all in the next one.
