Subtitles section Play video Print subtitles my name is Larissa Gemme and I work for the North Shore Physicians Group in Beverly at the Cummings Center I went to medical school at the University of New England College of osteopathic medicine in Maine I did my residency in family medicine at UMASS Memorial Medical Center in Worcester and then I did a fellowship back in Maine at the University of New England in neuromuscular medicine and osteopathic manipulation ODO's are doctors that are trained at an osteopathic medical school and it's a more holistic philosophy of medicine so I basically look at you as a whole person so I look at body mind spirit and how it all interrelates working with North Shore Physicians Group we are affiliated with Mass General which is in the best medical care in the country the biggest benefit is that when you see some of these specialist we have access to the records right away, so it's a better continuity of care and it's a better caliber care. I decided to become a family medicine doctor because you get to see everybody you get to see babies, all the way up to the grandparents great-grandparents and everybody in between so I think I was just drawn to getting to know families and hearing their stories *music*
